Maybe we can somehow get global warming/climate change/climate emergency charged with the Kennedy assassination?Global warming may eventually do that for us...
Then you should start your own social media mob and go after all the networks that used to carry the show. They should be forced to carry every single TV show in history. Not sure how they're going to do that with only 24 hours in the day, but that's just a small detail.Nope, I can't let go and won't let go. The memories of childhood are the best memories of life. Not a care in the world, no responsibilities. Can't get better than that.
If we swing the pendulum in the other direction where almost nothing is cancelled then we just have another angry mob deciding how businesses should operate. How is that better?I don't think it's fake outrage at all. There are lots of people who just don't want to live in a society where the snowflakes (the one's who are offended by everything) get to dictate what's acceptable and what gets cancelled. That's not a molehill to a lot of ppl...perhaps it is to you and many on twitter, though.
See, the issue here is it's the rights holders who are usually the ones making the decision. Dr. Seuss's estate are the ones who are pulling the books, not the publisher or store. I'm sure Warner Brothers recognizes how things like Speedy Gonzales or other characters don't stand the test of time and can be pulled. If you ever look at the way things were advertised 60 years ago, it would shock you how racist and sexist they are. They don't revive those ads.I don't think it's fake outrage at all. True Conservatives believe in freedom and cutting red tape. It's people on the extreme left like who's in office in Ottawa and Washington and those that put them there that's pushing the global socialism agenda and must be stopped by any means necessary to save freedom.See, the issue here is it's the rights holders who are usually the ones making the decision. So, while you may want to blame "snowflakes" for caring how people are depicted, the blame is for the corporations that hold the rights. So, now conservatives want to tell company's what they can and cannot do? I thought they were all about the free market and cutting red tape....

If you want to stand on the altar of freedom, then you must accept that businesses and people are going to make decisions that won't agree with. If you are saying that businesses should not be allowed to make unpopular decisions like changing product names, discontinuing shows, products, etc. then that's the total opposite of freedom.True Conservatives believe in freedom and cutting red tape. That still doesn't change that individuals and businesses have a right enshrined in law to make those decisions. Unless you are proposing we revoke certain rights that people and businesses have? How do you think that would that would go over? They are making decisions based on fear not freedom. Fear from the left.
I'm a fan of the open free market. There's a slogan get woke go broke which businesses do when the consumer decides what is or isn't wanted with their money. What happened to their ratings when the NBA and NFL pushed BLMs agenda? They tanked so they've since scaled it back. That still doesn't change that individuals and businesses have a right enshrined in law to make those decisions. Actually, you're not for an open free market if you're saying that companies are only bowing to fear. A free and open market means that businesses can make decisions that you won't always agree with. It doesn't matter if those decisions are based on facts, fears, etc. Not sure why you're struggling with this. If a business makes decisions that causes them to lose money or go bankrupt then that's totally on them.I'm a fan of the open free market.
