Well it seems the election campaign has started with Ford pretending he knows what will be happening with the virus 6 months in advance. Does he think there's any chance he will win back his anti-vax voters?

He is giving timelines dependent on caseloads. Looking at them they make sense. I see no reason not to give them.

A little hope is a good thing. It also hopefully silences some of the idiots claiming lockdowns are a govt conspiracy.

All restrictions to be lifted by March 28, 2022. I’m sure it is just a coincidence that the provincial election will be a bit more than 2 months away by then.

They did say it's dependent on case results.
By then the 5 to 11 crowd should be mostly vacced up. Also pretty much every adult who could be convinced and or pressured to get one would have gotten one by then. Cases are dropping pretty good in Quebec and Ontario [7 day average] get that double dose rate pushing above 85 towards 90 and get those wee ones vaccinated which should be easily doable by then and it is pretty reasonable that we can ditch all the limits. If that isn't enough, what's the option. Masks forever? At some point we have to move on and with the vaccine we should be able to do that reasonably safely. If it isn't enough by march 28th the only reasonable options are to let it go or force people to get the vaccine. I'd prefer the second option.

That being said, if I had Chuck Norris powers, everyone without a legit medical exemption would be getting the shots... to the arm or the back of the skull. Fuck them, we did our bit, they shouldn't be able to freeload off our even minimal efforts. Hell I'd be in favor of keeping the vaccine passport because fuck covidiots. That's why. Fuck them in their asses.

I'd prefer them not to make any hints or suggestions of ending the vaccine passport. Sure many would be like, der, it's only a few more munts der, fuck everyone else meeeeee der.

You do realize the Science Table fully backs this right?

Tells you all you need to know about the "science table " doesn't it?
It tells me they take about 50 qualified people, split them into groups (i believe its 5) and let them debate various things from various angles. Then they send up thoughts and recommendations. So when you have concensus amongst everyone from the infectious disease experts, to ER staff, to Nurses, and others, its a pretty good choice from that perspective.

Starting monday its basically all open. Just masks and vaxxed required. Everyone gets Halloween and Christmas. As well as any other Winter Solstice Holidays. Barriers to travel are steadily coming down. Schools are open. Kids can be hopefully partially vaxxed for holidays and fully by March Break. Boosters started in Jan.

Looking at our case loads if we get passed the holidays we are in endemic status in Ontario in the new year. Its a good cautious approach that gets it all open.

What the fuck is wrong with it?

Oh the boys at terb must be all kinds of upset that the unclean will be allowed to mix with the GMO’s in a couple of months.

😂
I have more respect for the organic than frankenvaxed TBH.
I would accept a negative test from them and work beside them but not someone frankenvaxed with mixed vaccines.
I'm not comfortable among two dose PHIZER or two dose Moderna people that got their second doses months after manufactures specifications either.

I'm probably one of very few properly vaccinated on this website.

There's no "consensus ", there's lots of propaganda, politics and sheer confusion- mixed with fear, censorship and suppression of an open discourse.

As for Ford's plans for opening Ontario, we will see. The flu season hasn't started in Ontario, yet because of the warmer than usual fall(and much drier, too).

So weird.
Even though I agree this is almost certainly a troll persona (obligatory Poe's Law caveat), I almost want to hear the logic trying to justify this position.

ideas are very powerful especially proliferated by pawns...we all know what happens to them at the end. Just play the game and carry on and don’t be a pawn.

This is perfect example of this. Just wait a few years to find out what this means.

I thought Ford switched left a while ago...is the pretending to be right again?

Why do you say that like it is a good thing?
Because endemic means its at flu status where it's dealable by the population. So long as Vax rates remain high, no nasty new variants(hopefully it lowers in severity) we can drop masks(I wouldn't under certain conditions), drop the app, and get back to another level of normal.

Whats wrong with that?

Bullshit. The science table has been conservative in estimates and we have exceeded them. High vax rates are working. Get the little germ factories done and keep up the pressure on unvaxxed and the numbers can easily stay down.

There is nothing in the recommendations and time lines that are anything but good common sense, prudence, and well thought out guidelines with neccessary caveats for variants.
