Still waiting for your reply.

Guess you now know how useless those rapid tests are at detecting Omicron LOL
massman and PeteOsborne have already explained how you the info from the council doesn't say what you say it does and how you don't seem to understand what tests do.
No need to repeat it.
Pretty clear you aren't going to be able to have a discussion on test sensitivity or specificity and how they affect what kind of uses the tests have so no point in wasting time.

Neither of those guys provided any useful details, and you provided NONE to back up your claim. Sucks for you that the reopening will be proceeding despite your stubbornness to accept that things will be returning to 'normal' in the near future.

“those guys” got vaccinated which is what will contribute to the reopening you crave. You should be thanking them and all vaccinated for making reopening possible.

I have had my 3 shots so I have no fucking clue what your problem is. Time to end the stupid masking mandates, vaccine passports, PCR testing and all the useless shit the Government is shoving up our asses. Let me be clear, I have no issues getting vaccinated...I have never objected to getting vaccines. Makes perfect sense IMO but enough of the population has been vaccinated not to worry about the dick heads who refuse to get vaccinated. At the end of the day it is THEIR option.

I could careless about the 15% who refuse to get their shots. Let them get sick and die, I do not care about them. Time to reopen.

PAWG Ford and JT need to stop telling us what we can and cannot do. Next election those 2 jackass's need to be removed from power

My prediction, when the next Federal budget is voted on, we will be heading back to the polls when the Bloc, PC's and NDPer's decide collectively now is the ideal time to take JT down over the handling of the pandemic at the tail end.

Remember that is precisely what Ford did last year, although the experts disputed his hastiness to reopen. Then Ontario was slammed with sky high cases and hospitalizations. The ICU was at breaking capacities as well. It was only when push turned to shove that Ford decided to shut down the restaurants and businesses by imposing new restrictions. He saw his popularity tank as a result. He seems to have learnt his lesson. Now we all want these mandates and restrictions to end, but in a way that it is not a repetition of what occurred as explained. So just be PATIENT for a few more days or weeks and let us get it done once and for all in a more concise manner. Have some compassion for our Healthcare Workers and those on the frontline who have to then cope with any rash moves to fully reopen!!

Only hope that Saskatchewan does not have to send their ICU patients all the way to Ontario like they did last year!!

Holy shit, fuck me!!! The one time you've said anything I can actually agree with! I will add in they do not deserve to be able to use our ICU beds and hospitals if it's COVID related.

Obviously, you have a choice you can choose besides Justin Federally but now let me ask you, who will you be voting for Provincially, Andrea or Steven??

None of the parties have the funds to run another election so quickly and the Conservatives do not have a leader yet let alone ready to fight an election. You can dream but Justin has a least 2 to 3 years before he takes another majority. My only suggestion is he better call in the military sooner rather than later to help Ford out with the Twats in Ottawa. Just like France, it's time for the tear gas, rubber bullets although my personal preference would be a rocket launcher.

First, I put little stock in the numbers dead from Covid. How they classified who died from covid was screwed up from day one. But all that is water under the bridge.

Omicron is different too. On whole, mild symptoms, with shorter hospital stays etc.

Time to move on with life dude. Sucks that you and your buddies want to continue with masking, restrictions, lock downs etc.

Sadly the studies on immunity acquired after omicron infection aren't promising.
Really? Any proof of this or just your usual rhetoric. A much milder variant that is no worse than the seasonal and doesn't even infect the lungs and we can't build natural immunity to it yet we can against the deadlier alpha and delta variants.

They already stopped contract tracing as Omicron is so wide spread.
Mandates and needless limits on capacity etc will soon be ending no matter how much you want them to remain in place.

The Raptors are expecting to be at FULL capacity in a months time
Interesting your argument against precautions involves admitting that the virus has spread so widely that testing and tracing couldn't keep up.

Listen, we all want these mandates to end. Yes Omicron seems to be a milder infection, however, we still had record number of admissions to our hospitals. It is affecting the younger age groups and some have actually died from it. Our ICUs were near capacity as well. But we have to remember that reopening in a more cautious manner is something that all the experts are advising. So once again be patient, as masks are the very basic that has helped to slow down the spread. Remember dude, that the Omicron virus is far more infectious than all the previous variants!!

Strange because the NDP has been quite critical of the conservatives tight connection with the truckers as have some conservative MPs.

Then in that case I have no problem. You did your part and deserve thanks from the unvaccinated who contributed nothing to the reopening we will all soon enjoy. (y)

That seems to be the crux of it.
"We didn't do the precautions properly so they didn't work so we never should have done them because they don't work."
