Inflation is not as high partly because our economy is
benefiting from rising energy prices. Without energy exports
the loonie would be worth a lot less than it is. Depending
on whether you are a climate denier Trudeau could deserve
to be attacked for not putting a cap on oil, gas and coal production.

Wonder why Brazil who exports 20% of its oil then has close to double the inflation as compared to Canada?
Anyway, Trudeau is doing a great job in tackling this Global inflation. PERIOD!!

Canada with a population less than 20% of Brazil and a bigger
land mass is a way bigger net exporter (per capita) of
energy and other natural resource commodities including
wheat, base metals, potash and precious metals. In this
inflationary environment where prices of these commodities
are skyrocketing it would be a surprise if performance of our
economy (and currency) does not stand out among members
of the G20.

Trudeau isn't responsible for the economy good or bad. I don't know everyone blames the leaders of countries for the a bad economy

Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Trudeau said, has made it clear that the world needs to "accelerate" ending its "dependency on oil and gas in general."

Trudeau was saying the world needs to accelerate ending its
dependency on Russia's oil and gas and buy Canadian fossil
fuel instead. We will continue to export coal, gas and oil into
the 22nd century.

The Saudi have been and are investing trillions for the past few years up to 2030 to end their dependence on oil to survive. Heck they are even buying a golf league with what is pocket money for them...
Does that mean Ontario and the rest of the world will end its
dependence on Saudi oil soon?

No indication Canada will be investing big money to end our
exports of fossil fuel.

It will never end. But at some point we won't need as much oil. The Saudi's are wise. Cruel but wise.

More likely at some point (sooner than most expect) we won't
have as much oil as we want to burn away.
