I'm sure she has a great Lawyer. Good on her for going on CBC to tell her side of the story.

She always dressed in very expensive clothes. Doesn’t look like she needs a raise. Looks like she has too much money. Her weather reporting skills are way below others such as Lyndsay Morrison, Mika Midolo, Jessica Smith, Michelle Jobin. What does she have to deserve more pay, a full time position? It seems like she is hiding behind her dark skin to claim being discriminated.

Jackie was demoted by Rogers for fraternizing with an athlete, Rogers exercised the flimsiest of hypocrisy. Caroline Szwed is gorgeous but she was in over her head. She'll probably return to Toronto once she's seasoned.

Nneka Elliott left CP24 several years ago for similar reasons but there are no reports of an official complaint. She filled in whatever role they asked: anchor, correspondent, weather specialist and so on. I remember her doing all 3 roles over the course of a weekend more than a few times.

CP24 is part of Bell Media conglomerate. This is just another disgruntled employee, she complains of other jumping ahead.. sorry I don't buy it. Other minorities have moved ahead too.

she filed a discrimination complaint. I do think she is amazing and should be promoted but if you look at CP24 over 90% of the newscasters are people of colour so I don't if she has a case. She might end working at CBC for way better pay

Take a look at how Dana Levenson came back on top as host of “Ask a Lawyer” weekly show. She worked over 20 years as weather reporter and left after complaining about no promotion opportunity. Years later she landed as host of Ask A Lawyer and even hosted Hot Property once recently. Nice comeback for Dana.

Patricia J. is a hand talker and not a good weather reporter, kept telling things that are not relevant and not even funny. She has the nerve to get a lawyer to help her.
Forget about her.

We don't know how Dana really feels. It's all smiles for the television but behind the scene, who knows?

I don't get the shot you are taking at Patricia? If they don't make their reasons clear why you cannot advance, then it's open to speculation.

Personally, I think CP24 wants the benefit of a multicultural news station, but without the multiculturalism.

Behind the scenes at CityTV are mostly unpaid interns working for free,waiting years with the dreams of getting hired on staff and using their TV radio broadcasting degree .
There was a time when ones hard work , dedication and perseverance for your employer paid off, not anymore.
