NATO is an alliance. It's not an army in and of itself. Anything a member-nation contributes to Ukraine could be said to be coming from NATO. Same goes for the UN.

Ukraine isn't a NATO member. NATO is in a position where they are helping (for their own interests), but don't want a full scale conflict with Russia (for their own interest).

Canada IS a NATO member, so that would trigger article 5 of the Washington Treaty, meaning "if you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us". And Europe has lost of reasons to stop both Russia and America from becoming expansionist.

From the collective silence of our NATO allies on the subject, we should assume we are on our own and if that is the case we should build Nukes to improve our bargaining power.
