I think I also remembered that he smoked for a long time, which is a huge risk for oral cancer.

I know he blamed it on going down on his wife, which I found tacky, but I think some medical commentators mentioned smoking.

I am also skeptical that his wife was the only chick he ever ate out. The virus of course not only rarely causes cancer, but it lives in the body for decades.

Personally, I got the shot, but one of the reasons it was first marketed to young teen girls, and then teen guys, was that many said it was useless if you are older unless you are The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Now it is marketed to everyone, but that may be partially for profit maximization.
And Catherine Zeta-Jones was smokin', back in the day.

The only two movies that seemed to honestly explore the conflicts and dilemmas of the older male who is attracted to women in their teens and twenties were American Beauty and Solitary Man. The Michael Douglas character who scores with the 18 year old daughter of his girlfriend while taking her for a college visit does not seem to be too concerned about HPV, which is likely the case for most guys here when a new intriguing escort ad appears. Fortunately, the risk is quite low and the virus is likely already present in most of us anyway. And hopefully, the 18 year old in the movie had gotten her vaccination, even before losing her virginity at 14. They don’t make movies like this after #metoo, probably due to reviews that said the reviewer wanted to puke all over the screen. The plot twist is that the 18 year old hates her mother and this is revenge when she tells the mom about the sex.

Michael Douglas had a sore throat for years in his 50s. Doctors in New York and LA never found out why. While skiing in Tremblant (Douglas lived there with his wife Catherine) he was put in contact with a doctor from Montreal. The team in Montreal found the problem.

HPV caused him throat cancer. Douglas was not shy and went public saying an important amount of cunnilingus over the years was at cause.

Since every time I have a little cuff in the throat, I panic!!!

I thought the HPV vaccine was useless for us older guys?
I think that's based on the assumption that older people probably had HPV when they were younger, but are now settled down and no longer at risk. It doesn't apply to guys who eat out random women every week.

My understanding with the HPV vaccine was that there was no point giving it to people who were sexually active because they are probably already infected.

In addition that there are literally hundreds of strains of HPV and it only protects against a handful

As with most things medical, it's often a case of, "who the fuck knows."

No. They know the vaccine is very effective on younger adults, especially if given before starting sexual activities.

He actually says it was TONGUE cancer, he seems to have fought it off. So I guess if he had it at 50 he was in pussy heaven since he was in his 20s so if you catch it in your 50s you will probably be dead dead before its a big problem

I had to screw around using a friend to get an Rx for the latest Gardasil-9 as the product monograph said only between ages 15-45. The idea being that guys over 45 don't eat or fuck any new pussy. 🤷‍♂️
I went to the Hassle free clinic and paid for it myself. I got it done at 46.
The monograph is a general guide. Going off label in this case should be fine. 😂
My logic was it is a vaccine what is the harm.

I just referred an older escort to the free health clinic here in Durham. She is almost 50 and she was accepted for it. She has to pay and apparently it is only 2 shots instead of the 3 that I got. But she told me they said they just recently changed the dosage????

I totally agree, one Definitely have to be responsible, we are already participating in a relatively risky activity, you should not only watchout for yourself but for your provider as well.
I even have the monkeypox vaccine. I mean I know it mainly affected men but like you said, it is a vaccine so what is the harm. That is my opinion as well. I have the Hep B vaccine too. I will take whatever I can to ensure safety.

I know the anti-vaxxers will take issue with this but I feel better having them.

I take Dukarol every other year when I travel to the Caribbean. Helps protect against some types of e-coli. I once got sick the ONE time I went to an All Inclusive in Veradero. Cuba with food poisoning. Fuck.. it was awful. Hardly been back to Cuba since. Havana couple of times with the boys but we used to have great connections for great food.

I got that also a little over 25 years ago. Not sure if I need a booster.

Have got the new Shingles vaccine? I got the first generation when I was under the age recommendations and the newer one a year or three ago. I know a couple people who developed shingles in their 50's and 60's... said it was suicidally painful.
