It was under construction and got hit by an earthquake. That building in FL collapsed pretty seriously not so long ago.
Zhang Heqing, is that you?? You really sound like a CCP minister.
A couple things wrong with your argument.
1) The epicenter of the earthquake in Mandalay was over 800 miles away from the building collapse in Bangkok (the Thai State Audit Office)
2) The structure of the building was complete and had been completed for a number of weeks.
3) This was the only building in the city that collapsed, there were other unfinished construction buildings in the vicinity that did not collapse.
4) The company that built the Thai State Audit Office, China Railway Number 10 Limited (subsidiary to state owned China Railway Group), had touted on their website this building would be able to withstand all earthquakes (these posts have since been deleted)
5) Construction workers prior to the disaster commented on how the rebar seemed way too thin for a building of this size. This has been confirmed by Thai authorities who found the presence of substandard steel in the rubble. The Thai ministry confirmed that for projects of this size, standard rebar should be DB16, DB 20 and DB25 to reinforce concrete.

Seems like China is trying to cover this up. Social media posts on WeChat, Weibo and Little Red Book referencing this collapse have been deleted. Four Chinese nationals were caught trying to smuggle out documents from the disaster site the next day (what are they trying to hide?) The China Railway Number 10 Limited has closed up shop in Thailand and are nowhere to be found.

Unfortunately, you won’t even see a fraction of the infrastructure failures within China because of their closed off society and censorship apparatus.

China is less of a threat to Canada than the United States is at this point.
Yes we should absolutely pursue business relationships with them.
I know it is hard for many to understand the threat that the CCP poses. You don’t understand the culture, you don’t understand the language, you have never lived there for a prolonged period of time, you don’t understand the decades long ambitions the CCP has and pushes to its citizens. Unless you can check these boxes, you really have no idea.

Harper didn't roll over when the PRC attempted to buy PotashCorp, he vetoed the deal. It got him a majority government in the 2011 Election. No Canadian politician will supplicant themselves to China's interests.

Building a dam in a fault zone, the Chinese have learned nothing from the Three Gorges Dam.

China isn't North Korea.
They are no more a threat than the US and if I can go out on a limb, are more of a threat today than the US.
The entire world does business with them.
Including us.
Culture and language are not a problem.
We have lots of people to people ties and we have citizens that understand these things very well already.

China is basically north korea with more money and a more refined censorship/security apparatus. The economic carrots that China has been wielding are diminishing due to a variety of factors and they will be using the military sticks they have been building for the last 2.5 decades.

You don't have to have lived there in order to do business there.
You are falling into the same trap that everyone else has over the past two decades. Incredibly naive of you to think that a business relationship with china will br symbiotic and reciprical.

Here is a great video on China and what they dont want you to see.

Globalism benefited the CCP and their Davos pals at the expense of all of us and especially the downtrodden Chinese who faced the brutality of the regime directly.

It was a sick experiment, and I am glad it has ended.

Trump has sent good fortune to China by sending them increased trade from many countries. China is taking advantage of the Tariff scare that Trump has manufactured to build reliable trade relationships and supply chains. In a few years when the newly elected President Newsom sends the SWAT team to haul Trumps ass out of the White House, things will get back to normal.

China is less of a threat to Canada than the United States is at this point.

We already do, The average person in Canada probably handles 20-30-50 items made in China every day of their lives.

No business deal is going to be signed until there is consensus amongst all parites.
China isn't forcing you.
As long as there is consensus it is symbiotic and reciprocal.
