Is the "Golden Dome" just a 2.0 version of the Star Wars project I just read about with Reagan in the 80s?
The Military Industrial Complex really has a grip on taxpayer money. lol

I would bet that it will work and that it will be more expensive than predicted.

The Iron dome works pretty well, and it's all paid for by the US.
I'm more than sure if China is against it then it's a good thing.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by how many CCP supporters there are on here though.

That's not a bad rule of thumb.

However, the DoD and the USA research infrastructure is being so badly damaged by purity tests and blind cuts and intimidation that being able to do this to stop ICBM's will become much harder.

Look at how/why USA scientists shot past the Russians 60-70 years ago. Big funding, freedom of thought, peer review, independent inspector generals, etc. Once you put loyalty tests and nepotism and other forms of corruption etc - like how all totalitarian states roll - you kill your science and future.
Look at Putin's Russia or North Korea's military - defective products, armaments that don't work, etc.

Can you show a non partisan source that can back up your assertion here.

Its been fairly clear - just some news infrastructures refuse to tell their viewers/listeners/readers.
Harvard gets DoD money, and all their federal funds frozen...

The Iron Dome is only good for shooting down bottle rockets fired from Gaza or Lebanon and even at that it's easily overwhelmed by volume of fire. It's been proven to be almost completely useless for shooting down ballistic missiles.

As I understand the "golden dome" is just using THAAD and Patriot batteries to start out. I have no doubt that anything new will be just as expensive and just as useless as the old. The entire idea of shooting down an ICBM is just plain silly, especially considering most contain multiple re-entry vehicles.

The only thing this is going to accomplish is enriching the shareholders of US military contractors. If Carney was smart he'd tell Trump to take his golden dome and blow it out of his ass

On top of this Kash Patel is going after those FBI agents who followed the law, as is Hegseth at DoD removing folks who are not white and male and keeping loyalists.
One of the reasons Arab armies suck is that promotion is based on tribe and loyalty. Then they rely on conspiracy theories when the Israelis kick their arses.
Until now, the USA and most of Europe and Canada worked hard to not have armies like that.

Harvard gets DoD money, and all their federal funds frozen...
''Hegseth announced yesterday that the department would cut $360 million in grants for research and other efforts “not aligned with DOD priorities,” including “in areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion and related social programs; climate change; social science; COVID-19 pandemic response; and other areas.”

I don't see a big problem here...This was their election mandate.

'' A report by economists at American University in Washington DC estimates that a 50% reduction in federal science funding would reduce the US gross domestic product by approximately 7.6%. “This country’s status as the global leader in science and innovation is seemingly hanging by a thread at this point,” one NSF staffer says.''

I'd say this is a very partisan report.

Anyways neither of these backs up your original claim of being able to stop ICBM's being more difficult.

The U.S. is somewhere around 37 trillion dollars in debt at present...They just can't keep going down the same path.
