Familiar with that stretch for sure. I spent several years in the Bloor West Village area. Cops patrol that more at night now.I used to live near the corner of Windermere Ave and The Queensway. There's a long section of The Queensway running west from Parkside Drive with no traffic lights. Late night street racing was a frequent occurrence.
There's also a stop for the Queen streetcar at Windermere, with a short fence between the platform and The Queensway. One time a guy hit the fence and turned his car upside down. I heard the accident, and went out to see the aftermath.
Three or four cops were there, writing in there notebooks. The guy in the car was screaming in pain, but dealing with that was a paramedic's job, and they hadn't shown up yet.
