Make insane asylums great again. That’s the housing government needs to prioritize investment in.
Many of these glorious buildings are still in existence so invest $1M max per institution for renovations and house all the lunatics living in the parks and streets and subway tunnels.

Kinda surprised about the Parkway Forest stabbing, but not really at the same time. The area used to be kinda bad and I think they tried gentrifying it, but the new buildings were “mixed income” so you still have a fair bit of the old crowed. It’s also a gathering spot a lot of the kids from the 4 Corners

Agree about our justice system being too lax in sentencing violent criminals, and granting bail to them.

Not sure how more relaxed licensed gun laws would have prevented what happened today...

Legal handguns in private homes are hardly ever used to protect the family against criminals. Unfortunately they are far more often used to shoot other family members either on purpose or by accident.

And of course 60% or more of handgun related deaths in the U.S are suicides.
