There is a great variance in ballistic missiles. From some that only have a few hundred km in range, to those that can strike any point on the planet from any direction. So saying "its a ballistic missile" is not really a fair description of its capabilities.

Its a intermediate range missile of about 5000 km and it has a very unique non-nuclear MIRV warhead that also powers the warhead into the target at very high mach. (7-10M) these strike deep and combust from kinetic energy and create plasma clouds and blast effect that have similar effects to a small nuclear weapon but with no radiation. And it cannot be intercepted.

It is Hypersonic, but the warhead effects are unique. Kinzhal and Tsirkon are also hypersonic but have conventional warheads. For example if you hit an airbase with 2 oreshniks .you can pretty much render it inoperable. So if the Russians fired a bunch of Oreshniks they can push NATOs air power well back for an extended period.

Not even the same class of weapon. It can hit Paris or London in under 9 min. Ukraine claims the damage was light, but has not released any footage from inside the complex that was struck

Ukraine is a real war, I guess the LNG trade is a factor but I am not 100% certain it was a key factor.
