The problem is nobody in our pen has done anything in the month of August except Tommy Nance.Mother fucker Hoffman blows another save!!!!! DFA his ass!!!! Bosox and Yanks win, just 4 and 4.5 games back, Tigers lost-could have been 1/2 game up on them for the first round bye! @#%$&*$#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Promote Trey Yesavage now, wean him along as closer for the playoffsThe problem is nobody in our pen has done anything in the month of August except Tommy Nance.
So there is no one to point to as an immediate replacement.
With a tired pen last night, Hoffman was the best choice to close last night and got it done, so he hangs around for at least a little while longer.
Yesavage has an ERA of 4.62 in his 41 innings in AA and AAA. He is not ready to be the answer to a closer role in 2025.Promote Trey Yesavage now, wean him along as closer for the playoffs
Like I said before, DFA Hoffman use Berrios as a reliever and promote Yesavege as a reliever also( Schneider has said it aint off the table)Jays need a closer and we don't have one.
You're not going to win a World series without a good closer
How are Berrios 1st inning stats??Like I said before, DFA Hoffman use Berrios as a reliever and promote Yesavege as a reliever also( Schneider has said it aint off the table)
They keep using Hoffman they will finish out of WC
Not bad, José Berríos has allowed 24 hits, 4 home runs, and 9 walks, recording 27 strikeouts in the first inning. He has a first-inning ERA of 3.95, a first-inning WHIP of 1.26, and a first-inning record of 9-5. He runs into trouble 3rd time through IIRCHow are Berrios 1st inning stats??
Its good, but not greatNot bad, José Berríos has allowed 24 hits, 4 home runs, and 9 walks, recording 27 strikeouts in the first inning. He has a first-inning ERA of 3.95, a first-inning WHIP of 1.26, and a first-inning record of 9-5. He runs into trouble 3rd time through IIRC
Another waste of a great performance by a starting pitcher.HolyFuck! Hoffman just blew a 1-1 tie hold , gives up back to back HRs , top of 9th,, 3-1 Brewers now. Should have kept Domingues in there, Jays wont make a comeback. Only hope is for Bosox and Yanks lose today. Jays will be swept tomorrow
No wonder other teams passed on signing him.
Even Joey Mclaughlin at 69 may be a better option.
Yes, that'll work, he or Domingues , excellent job by the 2 today. What about trying Varland as a closer with his 100mph fastball???
