I feel badly for all those that are (were) working on Jimmy Kimmel Live. They are all without a paycheque, without any warning. I cancelled my Disney+ last night as soon as I read the news about the Kimmel suspension.

It's just my anecdotal observations after 5 decades on the planet, and having been an active and fundraising member of the PC party in the latter part of the Mulroney era, that conservative leaning people seem to be more inclined to have a negative, cynical and adversarial outlook on the world. And not particularly creative.

Whereas liberal types seem to be more creative, positive and forward thinking.

Again, anecdotal subjective observation but same goes for the entertainment chosen. War, crime, revenge action. movies vs comedies, romance and feel good stories overcoming adversity etc. Combat sports, hunting, fishing, football, loud powerboats, Harley's etc vs tennis, volleyball, cycling, running, sailing, gymnastics, yoga/pilates and faggity stuff like that.

It's not EVERYONE. Just my anecdotal observations.

Disney isn't going to sue anyone, they want to stay on Trump's good side and have already paid him off to the tune of $16M to his Presidential Library. Since they paid him once, suspending Kimmel is just them coming back for more. There will be more "asks" of Disney/ABC as that's how the mob works. You are on the hook for life.

I don’t follow late night much but I believe gutfield has the highest ratings but doesn't have near the household reach as the others. Networks are seeing a shift, only a few years ago Sweeney would have had to beg for forgiveness because of pressure from lunatic lefties, now she just ignores them. Kimmel monologs are non stop rhetoric about trump.

Audience members are all lefties so they laugh at anything they say. Carson, obrien, and Leno all left politics out of their shows and all were generally well liked. Trump is being treated like royalty in England. The left tried to say he was mercilessly booed at the us open, it was the opposite. Even he expected to be booed.

If there is an appetite for Kimmel he'll land on his feet, however I think his time has passed.

If the Republicans see they are going to lose at the mid-terms, they are going to invalidate the most recent census because it counted illegals, then they are going to say the districts which are set by the census are invalid, so there can't be an election until the census is re-done and the districts modified based on the new census. Poof, no mid-terms.
