I didnt move the topic to china. Your buddy did. And i merely pointed out any semblance of censorship in the west pales in comparison to what has and is happening in communist china. Then you post a irrelevant article about canada-china trade relationship. I mean way to go off on a tangent 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

And you make assumptions of what i support. I support a full fledge democracy vs authoritarian rule. What i want is the us to have a stronger opposition party with better ideas to combat the party in power (whoever that may be) because that is what makes a democracy stronger with strong ideas challenged with better ideas. It is too bad, the democratic party has devolved into the state that is in right now.

I understand the racist joke went way over your head. I edited in some more emojis for you. 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
Yet you support a wannabe dictator!

Yep. And, as someone else pointed out (can't remember who), there is a great chance that after the business deals are approved, they'll have Kimmel back in action once again on their stations. This is cold business, and they know that Trump's FCC is as crooked as a dog's hind leg. In any other political environment, be it Bush or Obama, this would never have been an issue, because the FCC chair wouldn't be acting like a mobster talking about implied threats...
Why do you think the Biden Administration wasn't muscling businesses to comply with their political goals particularly when regulatory matters were in play? Gensler's SEC example below is just one of several regulatory agencies that prioritized political goals.

It's hard sk. I think liberals are fine with these things as long as they like the outcomes.

Per Google AI:
During his tenure, then-SEC Chair Gary Gensler prioritized Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) by developing a DEIA Strategic Plan and issuing biennial collections of diversity submissions to assess progress in regulated entities. Under his leadership, the SEC identified DEI as a priority for capital markets regulation, leading to scrutiny of DEI-related disclosures and shareholder litigation risks for public companies.

Gensler's SEC and DEI

  • The SEC under Gensler adopted a DEIA Strategic Plan in September 2023, focused on fostering inclusivity and integrating DEIA principles into the agency's mission.
  • Data Collection:
  • The agency performed biennial collections of "Diversity Self-Assessment Submissions" from regulated entities to evaluate progress and trends in diversity-related activities.
  • Regulatory Priority:
  • Gensler's SEC identified DEI as a priority area for its regulation of capital markets, signaling the importance of these issues to the agency.
  • Shareholder Litigation Risk:
The increased focus on DEI led to greater scrutiny of DEI-related disclosures, increasing the risk of investor lawsuits against companies based on their DEI programs and public statements.

If that was an apology, it was the most half-assed non-apology I ever heard
You got the half-assed part right at least

And, the right continues to lie about it. He did not say anything disrespectful about Kirk
To insinuate that his own MAGA supporters assassinated him is very disrespectful to Kirk's family

He did point out how MAGA was making it political
Isnt it ironic that almost every Kimmel show is political??

Take a look at the followers , then ask yourself, how much money is this bringing in???

How many successful podcasters have over 20M subs??

Facts matter, Bullshit stinks!

Sure he has built a following over his 23 years in the business. Podcasting has just becoming mainstream in maybe the last decade, if that?

While subscribers matter because it puts your videos to the top od your algorithm, views are the predominant factor in monetization.

Im not saying kimmel is profitable or not because youtube is a huge stream of incremental income but the youtube views has been on the decline. Ratings have been on the decline.

Of course, Kimmel should be on the air if his show is profitable.

A lot has already been said about Sinclair's and Nexstar's affiliates. What I am looking at is where are these ABC affiliates located? I'm seeing a lot of small and mid-sized cities in more conservative areas.

The Kimmel equation is probably trickier than meets the eye. Disney and ABC could support Kimmel's show. Most Americans can want Kimmel back on the air. However, you just can't force someone in Little Rock, Arkansas or Lubbock, Texas to watch Kimmel.

This could be the rub for Kimmel. Could these small market affiliates and their ownership topple Kimmel? Not necessarily because of the ownership's politics, but because of losing a sub-segment of the national audience.

Read the comments underneath and you can see some of the areas affected...Nashville, New Orleans etc.

He's got a huge following throughout the world here ..Way more than I thought...Let's see how big this gets and how much he can monetize this. This might be the future of late night.

In the monologue at the time, the comedian said Trump and his allies were "desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them"
I don't see the entertainment value above. People here tell me such things are subjective and I don't have the right to judge it for others. Since the Kimmel show has been nominated for Emmys in some comedy series categories in the past, we have to presume the show entertains enough people.

He will say anything right now while he's under the 🤡 thumb. Wait til the truth comes out once nature takes its course with the clown.
Yeah the same way he pretended to be one of the "bros" when he went on Rogan with a new hairstyle and a chain to appear "manly".
And then proceeded to claim he was a hunter who used a bow, and when questioned about the brand of bow he used, didn't know diddly squat. lmfao.

Trump is losing his mind over Kimmel when he has bigger problems. He needs to stop waffling and send the Epstein victims to Alligator Auschwitz.

...and Kimmel has never been in decline. Since Ferguson left, he's filled that vacuum, he's now become even more powerful.
But Trump would have to give himself to the gators because he's #1 on the Epstein Party List.

He was suspended because Brendan Carr threatened to pull ABC's license.
That was just bluster. The affiliates' audiences and their owners got him suspended. The Courts would have had Kimmel back on the air the next day if the FCC was able to exert pressure.

Disney after several years of political missteps was put in a bad place by Jimmy Kimmel. You can't do business in the United States continuing to alienate half the country.

I get the feeling Trump has unwittingly resuscitated him, lol.
Per Google AI:
A body can appear to move after death due to residual nerve impulses causing small twitches (post-mortem muscle activity), the stiffening of muscles from rigor mortis that can shift the body, gases produced during decomposition that cause bloating and movement.

That explains the gases coming from the Kimmel show.

Kimmel's suspension last week had absolutely nothing to do with ratings.
As I mentioned, what do you think is happening to ratings in Little Rock and Lubbock?
I don't know, but I'm pretty sure you don't either.
