There's no way the government has proven a RICO case against Diddy.
I'll be very surprised if he gets convicted of that
Called it

He's still guilty of the prostitution charge, but thats a slap on the wrist

I think of the 2 guilty charges he'll be sentenced to 6 to 18 months in prison. Maybe even less??
And that'll be the end of it

Pretty crazy. Plenty of smoke, very little fire.🤷‍♂️
Yeah there wasn't much here from the get go...Another witch hunt that went nowhere.

MSM just went wild with this though...Doing what they do.

And yeah him laying into his girlfriend on the video outside the elevator was terrible and he should be punished for that.

He gets a credit for 10 months served, so fortunately that level of sentence would likely let him go free.

But it would be a terrible precedent. The federal government has a policy of not charging ordinary johns and sex workers for prostitution crimes without other factors such as violence, coercion or the sex workers being a minor. Any such charges are left to the states. The federal government obviously said that violence and coercion existed here, but the jury disagreed. Many articles today noted that this case would not have been brought if the charges he was convicted of were the only ones involved. It would show decency by the federal government to simply drop the matter now, but that obviously isn’t happening. In fact, they are arguing for no bond.

As much as I hate Trump, I hope he pardons Diddy. It would help keep the federal government from ignoring its past policies. These expansive highly-publicized sex-related cases always come from the Second District of New York. I don’t know why they feel the need to bring these kind of charges.

He just got his bail denied again, so that means he'll stay in prison until sentencing on Oct. 3rd

Transportation to engage in prostitution — that carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison?

US laws are such bullshit, and these assholes totally overcharged him with the RICO bullshit, how exactly do you run a crime enterprise by paying for sex? That's like saying seeing escorts during your free time is your part-time job.

Seriously this man is innocent. Charlie Sheen did the exact same thing and he's alright other than the HIV.

Be glad RMCP is not currently pressured by liberals to gather intelligence and tips about your cock.

Good point on Sheen.

Canada’s c-36 isn’t really that much different, in that it theoretically imposes very long sentences on Johns, but was expected to be rarely enforced. In reality, it has never been enforced due to the very reasonable police prioritization policies and favorable court challenges (especially in Ontario). But unfortunately the trend in laws in the Western World is to have the potential for incredibly long sentences to encourage plea bargains and to give the judge a lot of discretion based on facts.

This is a pretty good article on the potential sentence and the reasoning for the judge denying bail, which are related to Combs admissions of violence.

And we are starting to see the beginnings of arguments involving racism, with his defense noting that famous Eliot Spitzer was never charged with any crime at all, including the Mann Act, even though he asked her agency to have her travel from NYC to D.C.

The federal government is going to stick to its guns apparently that it’s limited use of the Mann Act, such as when violence or coercion exists (same once again with Canada and the police prioritization policy regarding c-36) is still relevant here even though he was acquitted of those other charges. When you beat someone up on film, it kind of sticks with you.

And the judge has an obvious concern here, given the history of hip-hop, even though it seems a bit racist. There is certainly a history of rap guys finding someone who ratted on them, and pulling up next to them in a car, and pop, pop, pop with the gun. Unlike the Mob, many of those shootings are allegedly done by the rapper himself.

The judge wants to avoid the nightmare of being remembered as the judge who let that happen. So you might see a very long sentence with all of it being suspended so he walks out of the courtroom a free man, but realizes any act of retaliation will put him back in jail.

I still look for the possibility of a Trump pardon prior to sentencing. The lead prosecutor is the daughter of James Comey, someone Trump hates. He is hated by Democrats, too, since he reopened her FBI investigation right before the Presidential election, likely costing her votes. That is another element of superiority in the Canadian legal system. It’s prosecutors don’t try to be publicity hounds and future politicians.

And pardoning him would avoid the obvious elements of racism that might be argued by our liberal media if Combs were to receive a long sentence. Not only did White Spitzer not get charged, but Trump offerred for Stormy Daniels to have use of his private jet for a day after their $10,000 encounter. It was probably out of the Statute of Limitations when the story broke, but I am sure someone will argue that was a technical Mann Act violation. And Trump has been accused of physical violence. Doesn’t look good when only the Black man gets in trouble under the same law.

So all the rumors of Diddy drugging people and raping them were all bullshit.
This is why I always say wait till you see all the evidence before drawing conclusions.

And yes, Diddy is still piece of shit for beating the crap out of his girlfriend(s).
He deserved to spend a year in jail.
Maybe it will do him some good

You will hear about that stuff again from civil case litigants.

As Marcellus Wallace said in Pulp Fiction, “I ain’t done with you yet, not by a damn sight. Gonna get midevil on your ass”.

One of the reasons we have criminal trials in the U.S. for wealthy men with significant and non-traditional sex lives is to set up the multimillion civil lawsuits against them.

Civil suits only require a preponderance of evidence of guilt, unlike a criminal trial where it is beyond reasonable doubt. And many civil trials don’t require all jurors to agree, just a majority. And jurors who won’t send someone to prison are okay with redistributing the wealth of a multi, multi millionaire.

And Diddy will be tired of all of this publicity and will want to move on. He has kids who are just turning 18 and beginning their lives. He has an elderly mom he will want to be able to enjoy her last years. The civil suit group will be massive. I suspect he will just carve out an incredible sum of money and try to have them all agree to divvy it up.

Otherwise, pop some popcorn and watch the civil lawsuits. All those stories will reappear. They weren’t strong enough for “no reasonable doubt“, but plenty strong enough for a civil attorney to argue are valid.

Suge Knight already predicted Diddy would walk, in a recent jailhouse interview. He also said that Trump would pardon him.

Diddy does have info on a lot of powerful men.

I guess we have to hope that Keefe D snitches on Diddy for paying for the hit on 2pac. I'm not sure how the government has hasn't been able to get Diddy on anything financial, especially from a guy known for ripping off artists.

We shall see. This guy has a truckload of civil lawsuits to look forward to. I was a little surprised he beat Rico, but in hindsight, and like almost everyone else NOW says jumping on the bandwagon, I can see how the government overcharged him. In hindsight, Rico was indeed a reach.

The way his defense team owned the domestic violence, yet was very opposed to their definition of Rico and how it applies… was better than The No Way Out tour. What he did to Cassie was sickening in that video. Every time I see it, it bothers me for different reasons. I also don't feel as though the mental control to "appease Diddy" was well recognized at all.

Seriously, how stupid is this guy to be in front of the courts with his life on the line once again. Like seriously this guy needs to smarten up. That should've happened 25 years ago after The Club New York shooting trial.
