First, people will continue to sneak into the US. It feels like you are more concerned about brown folks from the south, when there are probably a few hundred thousand or million Canadians or Europeans living in the US with expired visas. But the point here is that the US has NOT lost control of its border. The numbers the right throws out are usually nonsensical and to be frank, impossible to verify. I'm sure that even now, with Trump's deportation routine, there are probably a few hundred folks sneaking across the southern border every day. And, anyone who thinks this is a simple concept might be a simpleton. Because it is very complex. There is nuance and special circumstances, plus international laws and agreements.Nope. It clarifies a very simple concept. If you loose control of your borders, you loose your sovereignty and your descendants wind up like our current First Nations.
Secondly, the hypocrisy of the right never ceases to amaze me when it comes to this bullshit. I can promise you there are a bunch of MAGA morons who were cheering on the idea of mass deportation, but now their businesses are hurting because they've lost cheap labour. So, landscapers, roofers, meat packing plants, farmers...they're all suffering.
If the US was so concerned about this, why don't the punish companies that hire the undocumented people? We've seen ICE raid factories and what not, but the managers/owners are never punished. Why is that? Will Trump change that? I mean, he allegedly had undocumented people working at Mar-A-Largo, Trump Tower and virtually all his other properties....
