I know pitchers can have off games but I saw nothing that would lead me to believe they could beat Yamamoto in game 6. They may have to win 2 in los Angeles. I'd like to see basset get a start somewhere.

Going to say it..That Jonas Brothers bit interrupting the flow of the game didn't work for me..And yeah cancer sucks...Do it at the begging of the game not in the middle of the game.
That said, I found it interesting that they were talking about cancer and got a whole stadium to hold up signs with names.

Great series! Enjoyed very much. Learned a lot from the best of both teams. 1-1. Best of 5 now. I'd say both teams had their ups and downs, pros and cons. Whoever excuted better in the game would win this WS. I really want to see the Jays boys just enjoy every moment they've got and have fun playing their ball game...

Let's go, Blue Jays! Just be whoever you are and hit the ball far...

Actually its a curse/jinx against Yamamoto's former Japanese team, that some fan decided to try to continue here. "Curse of the Colonel".

Curse of the Colonel - Wikipedia
And the plot thickens!

Watching the Sportsnet broadcast, I also saw TV ad's for the KFC recently announced "Zinger" name being changed to the "Dinger". Also, I recall that either an inter-inning or post-game Sports Desk stye discussion being branded under KFC.

All in all, sounds like a pretty ingenious, well thought through comprehensive marketing/advertising tactic by their Canadian agency https://www.courageinc.com/

Have a click on their webpage and you'll see splashes of the Colonel in their introductory front page reel.

Reminds me of the old days of the brilliant Toronto agency "Taxi" founded by Paul Lavoie.

I wouldn't eb surprised if they win some (more) awards in the Advertising and Marketing industry this year. Great work by a small Toronto shop!

He's also his real estate agent. I guess I don't watch enough TV to have seen that commercial
That commercial is usually on CP24 around the 6 o'clock news hour

His face looks like its permanently frozen 😂

Jays manager made a bad strategic error for game 2. Morning of game 2, Bo Bischette went to see him and asked what does he want him to do for game 2. He is fine. Manager said I will let you know
and then didn;t put him on at all. Bo is the best batter they have and is healthy from his knee injury and played well in game 1. There was no reason not to put him on. If he was on game 2, he could have scored one or 2 home runs. For morale of the team, it is far better going into game 3 with 2:0 than 1.0.

It's hard to go into game 3 at 1-0. The reason to not play Bo was to give him a rest after his first game in several weeks.

Yea after that incredible Yamamoto performance doubt is in my mind. Can’t phantom how Jays can figure him out next go around.

But he will be going against Gausman

looked like the strategy was to go after him on the first hittable pitch

time to rethink

do some bunting, stealing, hit and run

need small ball against him

wear him out by making him pitch deeper

Bo will be in the lineup

right behind Vlad may force him to pitch to Vlad, who came very close to a homer with a solid line drive against the wall

makes game more interesting

it will be do ior die for one team

I bet that is part of a well thought out marketing play by KFC as they are a key advertiser in the series here in Canada this game.

need a better actor

could of been the Colonel he just sat there frozen

as you are allowed to bring your own food he should of been handing out greasy fries and crappy cold slaw

We made 20 outs in a row (nearly 7 innings worth). You can't really execute small ball against a pitcher when you never get a runner on base.

In the first inning when we threatened (and that was one of the two innings), it was 1st and 3rd with Vlad up. You can't play small ball there.

Dude. It was two solo homers. And Gausman was under 70 pitches. There is nothing wrong with leaving him in to that point. He was cruising.

this is the WS and this was third time through games most dangerous lineup so pull him.

But that is only if you can trust the pen which Schnieider decided he cannot do so my point was

i agreed with the call to leave him in because of the weakness of our pen

but i did say that so your point is well made
