SPELLBOUND! There was a SPELLBOUND! documentary that raised spelling bee ratings. Instant drama, ooohs and aaaahs. The audience embarassed that it itself can't even spell these words. For the instant gratification North American audience, it sure beats Italian Series A soccer.

TV ratings. Well for TV ratings, small market Calgary is a tough sell for ratings starved NHL, ratings starved Gary Bettman. Who knows what the fine print on any TV contract is? What if Gary Bettman had such a weak bargaining position, that he may have agreed to some type of minimum TV...
