Oh there were plenty of reasons to and I provided those reasons already.
But of course when caught with your foot in your mouth, you just turn into a talking doll repeating the same lie over and over.
You magically started spewing your hatred for Musk as soon as he started supporting Trump.
Then you worked backwards from there.

You need to come to terms with how shallow you are.

The space shuttle wasn't a rocket.
Smart people would know that.
Landing a rocket is significantly more difficult.
Smart people would also know that.
Lmfao.
1. I did not call the space shuttle a rocket. I said it was a spacecraft.
2. The space shuttle is indeed powered by a rocket engine, and launches like a rocket, so calling it a rocket wouldn't be unjustified even if I had.
3. You have no clue about what it takes to launch and land a space shuttle or a booster for that matter. So you are in no position to compare.
Stop trying so hard and failing.
Landing the solid rocket booster back is just the same philosophy that NASA had started and followed for decades - which is to have reusable launch vehicles.
Infact, NASA also reused boosters, they just crashed landed it in the sea and recovered from there.
So not that impressive or mind blowing.
Says the guy who lied that he wasn't comparing Canada to the US, then fell on his face when I proved he was.
You magically started spewing your hatred for Musk as soon as he started supporting Trump.
1. I didn't compare Canada to the US. Good job, humiliating yourself yet again by reminding people that you have no reading comprehension.
2. As I mentioned above, whether you believe I hated Musk before or after Trump, both are justified. Musk has earned the hatred. So you have no point here.

You mentioned the space shuttle after I mentioned the SpaceX rocket landing.
Did the shuttle land with its rocket boosters like the SpaceX rocket?
No.
Smart people would know the difference.

"Not impressive or mind blowing"...says the guy who doesn't know the difference between a shuttle and a rocket...and then tells me I have no clue about launching a rocket or shuttle.

You compared both countries. I even cut/pasted your comments and you still double down on your failure with lying.

Hating someone before you have a reason to means your moral compass needs fixing. The fact that I need to explain that to you proves my point...again.

Yes of course I mentioned the space shuttle after you tried to make a big deal about reusable rockets being landed.
I am showing you that NASA has pursued reusable rocket boosters (by recovering it from the sea) and have developed reusable launch vehicles carrying people decades before SpaceX ever did.
So in short SpaceX's accomplishment is basically building on what NASA has already done.
NASA is the pioneer. Not SpaceX.
No I did not compare both countries. Your example ended up proving you had poor reading comprehension.
And as I also mentioned in my prior post, there was plenty of reasons to hate Musk before his Trump association, which I highlighted in my post as well.
But regardless of when you think I started hating Musk, they were both justified.
Oh and by the way you seem to be implying that it is alright to hate Musk now. lmfao.

Recovery from the sea is totally different than landing with them intact.
No one mentioned anything about being a pioneer. It's about the accomplishment.

Don't double-down on your stupidity.

Yeah we know.
So reusable rocket boosters are a decades old concept, nothing new.
And NASA as I have demonstrated has accomplished far more than SpaceX by orders of magnitude.

Your ESL problem is creeping in again...

Reusable after recovery means they are not used in the landing at all. They are recovered from the sea then refurbished to be used again.
Reusable because they do not need to be recovered and are used in the landing is completely different.

Are you trying to be more stupid with every response as some kind of challenge for yourself?

Hahahahahahahahahhahahaha
Hahahahahahahahahhahahaha.....
Someone talking about ESL courses cannot even form coherent sentences.
I said they are reusable rocket boosters, which they are.
The rocket booster in NASA's case, is recovered from the sea, refurbished and reused.
The rocket booster in SpaceX's case, is landed, refurbished and reused.
They are both reusable boosters and reusable boosters were pioneered by NASA for decades.
That is their accomplishment in addition to developing and using reusable space vehicles like the Shuttle.
So SpaceX's accomplishment pales in comparison to NASA's by orders of magnitude, especially considering everything else NASA has accomplished.

Can they reuse the boosters for landing as part of the same flight after using them for take-off?
No.

You are a special kind of stupid.

NASA does alot of research into many things, it does not mean that NASA is planning to do anything.

NASA has astro linguists trying to figure out how we would talk to intelligent aliens, it does not mean NASA is planning to talk to aliens.

NASA does research on faster than light travel, it does not mean that NASA has plans to build a faster than light space ships.

NASA does research into worm holes and time travel too.

It takes ~6 months to travel to Mars, it takes about 6 days to travel to the moon. Before humanity colonizes Mars it would try to colonize the moon first. With that said, we will not colonize the moon and we will not colonize Mars within the lifetime of anyone that is currently alive. You need a series of technological breakthroughs to make that possible and we are no where near. We will colonize the ocean floor before we colonize the moon or Mars.

I was a fan of Elon until about 2018/2019 when he said that a Tesla is an appreciating asset when Teslas are one of the highest depreciating vehicles on the market, at that time he also said that Tesla owners could rent out their Teslas as robotaxis and make ~$30k a year, so it would take ~2 years for a return on investment.

NASA is doing research for having humans inhabit Mars. So is Musk. Whether they can achieve it is unknown at this time. But without research, and planning how will anyone ever know?
It took almost a decade to research and plan the first human moon landing. I'm sure there were those who were saying the same things you are saying.
Same goes for having computers in homes.

The context here was whether Musk is a con for aspiring to make Mars habitable. My point was if you believe he is, then you also believe NASA and the entire government and community of scientists are as well.

So?

Read that disaster of a sentence again.
You can't reuse something before the flight ends.
Are you day drinking again? lmfao.
Says the guy who's drinking early and can't understand simple English.

Shaquille: "You can't reuse something before the flight ends"

You mean SpaceX rockets just float down and land gently without any boosters? Lol!

Do you even know what you're talking about at this point or have you fallen on your face so many times you can't function?
