@superstar_88, you are always full of good Leaf stats. Keep up the good work. I'm learning a lot from you. Not only from your excellent Leaf knowledge, but also from your excellent NHL hockey knowledge in general.Willy and David games goals assists points

Last season:
Nylander had more goals than assists
Tavares had more goals than assists
Knies had equal number of goals and assists
Matthews had more assists than goals.
This season:
Nylander has almost twice as many assists than goals.
Tavares has more assists than goals.
Knies has a whopping 2.4 times as many assists than goals.
Matthews has more goals than assists.
Last season Leafs scoring at 3.26 goals per game
This season Leafs scoring at 3.26 goals per game
Exactly the same goal scoring rate.
Last season Tanev played 75 of 82 games and lead the team with a +31. Stolarz had a 0.926 save percentage
This season Tanev has played 11 of 38 games with a +8. Stolarz has a 0.884 save percentage
I sometimes hear Leafs miss Marner. I think who they really missed was Tanev and the pre headshot Stolarz.
I think who is really missed is AM34. This year's version is a shadow of last year's version and last year's version was a shadow of the prior year.Willy and David games goals assists points

Yes, now all teams in the Eastern conference, have at least 40 points. Reason being, Columbus beat Ottawa, in regulation. With the single point by the Leafs that makes all the teams in the Atlantic with point totals in the 40's with the largest margin possible 9 pts between 1st place Detroit and still last place Toronto.
If Columbus beats Ottawa and Carolina loses to NYR in regulation that could happen in the Metro Division as well.
To have all 16 teams in the East with 40 something points.
Leafs are still 6 pts behind 3rd in the Atlantic and still behind 5 teams to get there.
They're also still behind 7 teams to get to the last wild card.
All 7 of those teams in front of them have either 41 or 42 points with 4 of them having a game in hand on the Leafs.
Currently all teams in the East are better than a point per game.
The West, though, has 7 teams at or below a point per game.
The top 7 draft picks could very well go to the teams in the West thanks to Colorado, Dallas, and Minny raking in all the points.
The Central Division has no teams with 40 something points.
Carolina won so they ruined the party. Both Florida and Buffalo won their game on hand on the Leafs. Particularly Buffalo with their 9th in a row. They've had hot streaks before but have always followed that up with huge downswings. Florida is now only 2 pts from 3rd. I expect TB and Florida to be the top 2 teams in the Division when it's all said and done. Given that, it's unllikely Leafs can get 3rd since they've given Detroit 3 wins. TB has won 4 in a row with one of those wins against Florida yet they can't shake Florida.Yes, now all teams in the Eastern conference, have at least 40 points. Whereas 9 of the 16 teams in the Western Conference, have less points then the Leafs. What a crazy season, so far.
