Yes and no. I often make fun of the thing and I have yet to get blow back. Someone calls me sir at a store and I mock in horror "did you just assume my gender" never not once does that not get a laugh.
OTOH for rights that are controversial they sure have a lot of them. Why would a law society have the event that you described. Why does Jordan Peterson get run off campuses on a regular basis or his speech at Queens where people were banging at the windows the whole time. The guy is a total mook when it comes to religion but if you actually hear what he says on trans issues and for that matter women's issues, I mean without an ideological lens, he isn't really saying anything worth that much blow back. He is far far from an Uncle Fucker like Tucker. At McMaster his even was shut down.
I'd hazard a guess that even if most people are "dude, dudes should not compete against women" when it comes to those who will rush the barricades there are more Trannies and their SJW supporters who really care than there are girls and their supporters who are willing to be called bigots and speak out against it. Most people don't give a fuck.
Which is another thing, being called a bigot or a racist is not only unpleasant but can impact you down the road, even if it isn't true.

Much like how if you were to deregulate taxi cabs [even before the uber period], the cab drivers would go balistic which is why again before uber they didn't do it. However those people who can't afford cars but need a taxi and end up paying more, there are more of them, plenty of people who dig markets, but they don't care as much as it's once in a while thing or a theory thing, not a weekly paycheck thing.

Apperently athletes are addicted to winning, even if it means cheating. Corked bats,, deflated balls, Tonya Harding taking the knee before it was cool], roids, HGH etc.

Am I saying it will be common. No. Will it happen enough to be a serious concern, probably not. However I'd be kinda surprised if it never happens, not even once. Not that we are likely to know. I mean who is to say someone feels like a woman or is just doing it for the wins.
Like that buff dude who broke all the woman's records and claimed that at that particular time he felt like a female and we shouldn't be bigots. Yeah we all know he was taking the piss but if someone does the whole Trans thing, as long as they shut up about it, we never know their actual reasons.
Jordan peterson lost credibility with me when he claimed part of the problem with the gender pay gap is that women choose jobs that pay worse.

To me thats too simplistic....for example there are less women in skilled trades but part of that is little girls are not encouraged to pick up a hammer etc.

Men have larger hearts than women and larger more dense bones. No amount of hormone manipulation is going to change that.

It's funny that you never see women who transition to men trying to compete in men's sports do you? And the reason is simple they couldn't come close to being competitive.

The whole concept of opposition to letting trans women competing in women's sports being transphobic is ridiculous. It's all about fair play.

The SJW's are just pushing their victimhood agenda.....Truth be known they would have little interest in sports as a rule.
Actually you can change bone density through hormone treatments. Hormone replacement therapy is being used to trwst osteoperosis.

Also this article claims women have more stamina than men. If this is true i assume that men have better marathon times because of other factors like longer strides etc.

Anyways, im by no means an expert and i do beleive there are differences between men and women. I just dont think average peiole like you or i are really equipped to answer these questions.

Its worth notint the IOC devised rules in consultation with experts in this field.

This is the slippery slope argument.

Why would any male with talent choose to compete in a female version of the sport to dominate and get paid a fraction of a male?

For example the league minimum for NBA is 925k

Meanwhile highest paid WNBA player is 221K
Most dudes will never make it near the big show in any major sport.
Also most sports don't pay shit.

If it was true that women have greater stamina than men then why are they not competitive in marathons? In your article he speculates that they seem less tired at the end compared to men. So unless there is a medal for being less tired how does this matter?

I fail to see how women being given estrogen/progesterone prevent bone loss during menopause is germane to a biological male lowering his testosterone and taking estrogen to compete with biological women.

Peterson's argument is that women are more agreeable than men and therefore are more willing to work for less. Whereas men are less likely to settle for less than they have their sights on.

He also argues that women are less likely to move for a better job. Less likely to work longer hours and less likely to work in high risk professions. In egalitarian societies such as we see in Scandinavia women if he given the choice do not gravitate to the STEM fields. Which of course are the higher paying professions.

He's a clinical psychologist so he's primarily concerned with data and it's implications. Hard science.

Just went and found this short video where in a healthy and calm debate he states pretty much what I said.

That is actually flipped on its head by the Trans Inclusion people who say that most sports are social, not career-path. The biggest reason that any dude wanted to be on my high school A hockey team was they pulled girls and had great parties. A couple got near the NHL when they got older. The other 20 or so just played for fun and parties.

The argument is that organized activities are core with teenagers and that excluding trans youth from participation further marginalizes them.

Now you get your argument that this might prejudice genetic female tennis or volleyball players. But I am guessing the counter argument is that the # of trans kids is very small and the social benefits outweigh whatever unfairness there is to genetic girls.

We do have XX games, or we used to. It was called woman's sports.
I've seen a few cases of dudes dominating women's sports that it isn't an epidemic is probably a function of how few trans there are and how few of those are in sport at all.
It still doesn't make it fair.

Also the fewness of trans athletes would be an argument for not even bothering. If it isn't a big deal, it goes both ways.

Like that South African guy with the artificial legs they let compete. How can you even equate that to people with legs and feet. You just can't. They just had to let him compete though because of his fictional rights.

But sure, lets get rid of all gendered sports and weight classes, for that matter if you want to run a marathon in a lambo, go ahead, hey maybe the dude identifies as a human lambo cross and who are we to judge.

Also dudes in female sport just feeds into this false idea that transwomen are women. They are not. Live like one, sure, be treated as one socially sure. However they cross the line when they claim to be actual women, they are not and we just don't have the medical ability to turn someone's gender like that.

Also the purpose of sport isn't so a few people can affirm their gender. Neither are those who do Brazilian waxes.
Your problem is this:

You can argue that trans women are not really women as much as you like and many will agree with you, not least the GOP elected officials and speech writers in the USA who are harvesting "outrage" at the "intolerable unfairness which will ruin women's sports throughout the USA".

But it's clear that mainstream politicians in Canada - including those bastions of disempowered righteous outrage, the CPC - have accepted the idea that trans people are going to be included as their chosen gender. And I am also guessing that Canada was also 10 years behind the Europeans in doing this and that's the real reason for the IOC's position.

An example: The Legal Aid settlement meeting form that is emailed out to participants in mediation sessions sponsored by Legal Aid, an arm of the Attorney General's ministry, now has a ticky box that asks the participant's chosen gender. (As there is not yet a ticky box for "baboon", I choose "male".) All the new Family Court claim ticky box forms ditto.

Much as the culture warriors might hate it, it's now a part of the landscape in Canada, as being out of the closet gay became 25 years ago.

The only reason that it's an issue in the US is because politics in the US is based on outrage and polarization, not consensus like Canada. And US pols look for any issue that they can to stir up hate and anger.

Side bar: - Why didn't the IOC impose rules on the South African wife killer guy that he use less springy metal legs? Might that not have solved part of the inequality in their use?

I didn't even have to go to school and get a degree to figire this one out. It's called a pair of balls. It's where a lot of testosterone gets built up. Kind of why sites like this exist. I hat to break it to you but guys have balls and girls don't. Guys in dresses even have balls.
I don't see what's wrong with it. Honestly, if Mike Tyson got a pussy installed and was going to square off in the ring bare knuckles with Katelyn Jenner I would pay $500 to pay per view it.

I'm guessing that you sort of have a Roman Empire of Caligula approach to spectator athletics and would also pay to see Caitlyn Jenner bare-knuckle fight a Siberian tiger......

While this makes sense remember in the USA college sports and the scholarships that go with them are huge. So in many cases there could be a financial component that would hurt girls getting into higher education.

JC touched on that. And my response was that no one thinks that trans athletes are going to be numerous enough to cause any significant disruption.

Aw, C'mon! A niche like that would quickly be filled by a bunch of exmen. Women's records would mostly wind up higher, but men's wouldn't be any lower. Get bionics into it and scores would go higher all the way around, even in Tibet...

Bionics are an issue that's not even close to being sorted out. BTW, wasn't she his GF and not his wife?

I think this is terrific. Let the feminists and transgenders duke it out. They're both extremely confused groups of people.

Smallcock! You've finally got back from Maralago where you were consoling your hero on his humiliating and crushing defeat. Welcome back for more punishment! On this issue, I side with the homophobic rednecks. Not because I'm a homophobic redneck, but because it isn't fair to let mtf transgendered people compete against born women . If it is, then you'd have to let all men compete against all women and that would decimate female athletics.

You realize that you are responding to a 2 year old post, huh?

He's still down at Mar-a-Lago.
