Liechtenstein had her borders breached in 1985, 1992, 1nd 2007
On 5 December 1985, rockets fired by the Swiss Army landed in Liechtenstein, causing a forest fire. Compensation was paid. ( A case of wine )
On 13 October 1992, following written orders, Swiss Army cadets unknowingly crossed the border and went to Triesenberg to set up an observation post. Swiss commanders had overlooked the fact that Triesenberg was not on Swiss territory. Switzerland apologized to Liechtenstein for the incident.[4]
In March 2007, a company of 171 Swiss soldiers mistakenly entered Liechtenstein, after taking a wrong turn in the darkness. The troops returned to Swiss territory before they had travelled more than 2 km into the country. The Liechtenstein authorities did not discover the "invaders", and were informed by the Swiss after the incident. The incident was disregarded by both sides. A Liechtenstein spokesman said "It's not like they invaded with attack helicopters".
Ceiling, you're being disingenuous here -- if not actually indulging in sharp practice.

Your question said, "Liechtenstein was last invaded in (this) year."

But now, you're saying you wanted us to understand that your "invaded" includes any and every uninvited crossing of the border.

The last military invasion of Liechtenstein, by an actual army armed with weapons, and with hostile intent (which is what I (and I'd guess all other terbites) assumed the question meant), was in 58BC, by Julius Caesar's army.

Shame! You don't deserve a merry christmas. (Love the thread, though -- please keep up the good work.)

I believe that the M16 was made by Matel. At least that is the story I was told.

The plastic parts: buttstock, handgrip, and foregrip, were made by Mattel. This was a question answered a long time in post #475.

Mattel made picture fromes out of plastic when they first started. They branched out into toys and later took on contracts to manufactur parts for the M16 assault rifle.

Before he perfected the printing press, Johannes Gutenburg was a metallurgist in Mainz and went into business making and selling relic mirrors.

To store the magical properties of relics, medieval pilgrims used to carry folding metal mirrors. When they got to the shrine they would hold the mirror up in front of it, then close the cover. Then they took the mirror home and opened it up to 'release' the captured image into their house.

The first escalators were used at Harrods in London. There was a man at the top and bottom of the escalators offering brandy to people who were frightened and became faint.

A hobo travels around the country, usually on freight trains. A bum stays in one place and panhandles.

The designation hobo ( homeward bound ) was originally used when the US civil war ended and troops were released to return to their homes without transportation from the US government.

-One of the reasons why Sikhs started carrying a “Kirpan” or ceremonial dagger was to protect themselves and others from forced conversions to Islam by the Muslim rulers of India in the 1600s.
