Since the victims did not fight back and they killed 2 in separate robberies, I hope the crown will go with first degree and also go for dangerous offender designations. These scumbags deserve to die in prison. I also hope they try the 13 year old as an adult. He has a record and at this point is it probably best for society he does the rest of his growing up into middle age in prison, but the cameras will hopefully show what went down and allow the judge to decide if one was more culpable then the rest. Very sad, especially for the new immigrant. :(

There's a really dark underbelly in this city and since about January of last year pretty every kind of crime you can think of has gone up. When your used to quick money in the patch, your not willing to go back to minimum wage when there are easier ways to get your money.I can see it getting worse on a monthly basis.

But, just how much or little cash does a convenience store keep on hand? I know that sometimes crooks steal goods like cigarettes and beer but I don't think that is the case here.

True. If I had to make a guess now, I suspect they'll reveal that these animals were under the influence of some type of drug. There's a weird mentality out here for a lot of people. It's like they can't accept that things have changed financially and they have to adjust. There are some good people in this city, but the amount of addiction and excess that came with the oil boom is still here. There is just simply not the money to support the habits anymore. Every bit of socio- economic evidence I have seen leads me to believe next year will be even worse.

Mental health, or hate crime? Or both? Or are you just trolling.
