For any hobby newbies that might read this, this is a list of 10 red flags and things to look out for when seeing a provider's ad. This is to ensure the provider truly is independent and is going to provide quality services. Please feel free to add to this list:
01. Non-verified photos that look too good to be true. Google Image Search will often confirm suspicions.
02. The provider is "party friendly" or is open to "party favours". Simply put, this can spell trouble. Move on and don't look back.
03. Upon doing online background checks you discover the provider is constantly changing her name and/or number and moves around a lot.
04. To add to the point above, many legitimate providers do, in fact, move around lot. If you can't find info on Terb, check out its counterparts in Montreal/the Maritimes, the Prairies, etc. Hobbyists in other provinces might have legit intel
05. Should be obvious, but check to see if the provider has a website. If she does, this is most likely a good sign.
06. While bad reviews for a long-time provider obviously means you should stay clear, seeing no reviews for a long-time provider is also a red flag.
07. Rather than a number for you to text, the provider's ad only has a Gmail address for you to contact. This is a scam.
08. The provider wants to use E-transfers for payment as opposed to cash. Don't do this.
09. Be extremely cautious of "Asian girl" ads. They have a history of being bait and switch.
10. This should be obvious, but poor spelling and grammar in an ad warrants closer investigation.
