I remember when someone getting shot in the GTA was stunning news, incredible. Many of us here, I`m 68, are the same. You can`t even keep up on the daily shootings and stabbings and car jackings anymore. The crazy part is it wasn`t that long ago, what lies ahead?
I bet they were gun-law abiding citizens, legally purchased, kept in a locker, trigger locks, etc.
You forgot to mention jewelry store robberies that happen multiple times a week. It used to be once a year at most that criminals would be so bold but it's just a normal part of life now in New Canada.

Not sure about total shootings but in 2025 Toronto has seen a significant decrease in homicides. Through May of this year the city recorded only 12 murders. At this time last year we were triple that. The year before that double.
Is this just an anomaly, who knows? I think what has definitely helped is Trump's call for Canada to do better on border security and the US doing better on theirs (with both Canada and Mexico). The result is less guns are crossing the border.

There actually are a lot of good indicators that this was a direct result of rap beef but nothing that would hold up in court. If you seen Top5's live stream from Canada's wonderland an hour before the shooting you can easily connect the dots. I'm just surprised this happened in Jungle and not at Wonderland.
