Not sure about total shootings but in 2025 Toronto has seen a significant decrease in homicides. Through May of this year the city recorded only 12 murders. At this time last year we were triple that. The year before that double.

Is this just an anomaly, who knows? I think what has definitely helped is Trump's call for Canada to do better on border security and the US doing better on theirs (with both Canada and Mexico). The result is less guns are crossing the border.
If the heat is on these assholes in Toronto and the GTA, they take the show on the road. Areas like Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Barrie, Hamilton and many more become new territories. They all need to die, that`s all that matters, fuck `em. FAFO.

Jails and prisons are not deterrents in Canada because they're not harsh environments. Efforts are being made to make them even softer than they already are.

95% of the robberies and shootings would cease if we had the same prison system that El Salvador does.

These idiots are shooting each other over diamond necklaces, endangering innocent people, causing fear and terror in their neighbourhoods, lowering real estate values, spreading hate and wasting police resources.
Would the majority of Canadians have a problem with some Duterte style justice for them? Terminate with extreme prejudice. Disappeared. I`d support that 100%

This is Darwinism, the evolution of the society , the backlogged court system, a bail system gone bonkers and the “ don’t give a fuck mentality “ of many people including these murderous thugs .
Clearly, things will get worse and worse in Toronto in the years to come.

Trump talks about the fictional Canada menace of Fentanyl and illegals as tariff justification while Canada is hit with the non fictional reality of illegal America firearms on the streets in Canada.

Word is, it was "John Doe" who was the one that died. He's the guy in the wheelchair when he got paralyzed from another shooting a couple years ago. He is part of GGG and a good friend of Top 5

I don't feel as safe in the city at all and tend to travel by Uber if I go downtown. I'm more uptown and in the burbs and thankfully, my area is very safe and walkable. We have no self defense laws and are punished as badly as an aggressor if we fight back. Its so corrupted and unfair. So many people are in dire straights. As a person with health problems, I want to cry when I see people sleeping in the street in wheelchairs. I have a lot of experience with poor, marginalized and disabled people and try to fight for their rights and support them however I can.

The cops would sometimes take the perpetrators down to the docks near cherry beach and either get a confession, or somehow lose the guy, who was never again seen or heard of. There was a great book on this subject by an ex cop, reporter, but I can’t recall his name.

Grow a pair.

In regards to this thread, there's no point in going to Lawrence heights unless you live there. Top 5 lives in Downtown Markham with the Chinese mafia as his neighbors.

Top5 used be friends with Pressa and Bundog, but they are beefing now. There's also that other issue with K Money and Casper Tng regarding a recent chain snatching among past issues. So GGG/Lawrence Heights are beefing with Driftwood and wherever the other two are from. Top5's social media antics aren't helping, and he's being enabled by big artists and influences like Ye, Drake, and Akademiks.

The Pukka Orchestra in the mid 80's as I recall had a great song: Cherry Beach Express.

Im not letting an ugly society corrupt my sensitivity and caring. I'm really impressed by your association with rappers too 😂

I remember when someone getting shot in the GTA was stunning news, incredible. Many of us here, I`m 68, are the same. You can`t even keep up on the daily shootings and stabbings and car jackings anymore. The crazy part is it wasn`t that long ago, what lies ahead?
Really? Going to look up some of the stats.

You should be able to go anywhere in the city because it should be safe everywhere.

And what about all the law-abiding residents in Lawrence Heights trying to live life in peace?
Please go. Lol. Nobody's gonna bother you. These shootings aren't random.
