Keep buying those foreign cars and you guys will never get a pension check from Canada. The retires in Korea Japan and Germany will thank you. No i'm not an auto worker. Just here it every day in my line of work, lost my job today, guess I should have bought something made in Canada like a north American built auto. I'm retired with a nice income. And a job on the side that almost pays almost what I made before. Support your country not theirs.

Sadly quality much like reason and accountability is a rare thing among the females. It might be a rare thing among the dudes, but they don't have vaginas so I couldn't be bothered to find out.

It's like saying don't buy a samsung tv even though they have one of the best screens in the market but people still do and it's Korean.
Dont buy a fucking iPhone a once again the screen is by Samsung and the phone is made in china, people don't give a damn about where it's made, they look at quality and the Koreans are kicking ass.
Many German cars are using parts from Asia, why??? If your a CEO your job is to cut costs, fuck patriotism it's all a bunch of baloney. Manufacturing industry will never be the same.

i dont think there's ANY hate and jealousy... after all, the Hyundog/Kia market segment for the most part has catered to the working poor who need basic transportation, so they serve a useful function.other than that particular segment, people who prefer the high priced hyundogs are simply dumb and deserve to be robbed of their excess cash.
we've had lots of young professionals straight out of university at our office buy the hyundogs as a cost saving measure due to price-points, and student debt. however quite consistently, as soon as they can afford to ditch the dogs they flip them for civics or toyotas, usually proclaiming the dogs to be massive poshit
The Ellantra has simply filled the niche that the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla did, before they went up scale. Selling it is the first step. It would appear that the quality control problems of the past are behind them and the car is selling and running well. As for the Landrover, i don't get it, but then having only driven one civilian Landrover LS (?) some years ago, I didn't get it then as you could get a fully tricked out SUV for almost half the price from a number of companies. Now the Landrover 90s, 110, and 130's, those are something to cherish.

The Genesis sedan is an awesome car! Fully deserving of their award in '09 Btw, it's priced in the same range as the Caddy CTS -- mid-range but IMO I'd rather the Genesis sedan than the Caddy sedan
The Genesis coupe looks nicer than the Infinity one -- loving that car too. I agree with whoever said Hyundai should have a separate luxury brand. Their cars are some of the sexiest on the market currently (looking at avg. consumer vehicles.) Toyota and Honda better step up their game ;-)
