Biz made the difference yesterday, he rebounded nicely after a bad Game 6. And FINALLY they stopped bricklaying on 3 point shots. They have to be better on perimeter shots or else King James will book their room at the Heartbreak Hotel.

JV must be breaking wobble boards galore, trying to get back into action. The most optimistic prognostication: Game 3.

This team has frustrated us a lot this season but all they do is accomplish 1st's ... First Raptor team to a Conference Final added to their resume ... Wow we are in the Conference Finals ... Sounds weird doesn't it ???

This run/climb was all started by a GM who was on the verge of blowing things up and turned into Conference Finalists ..
Tell me about it! First it snows in May and now the Raptors are one of the last 4 teams playing in an NBA season? What the hell is going on??

I don't even care what happens vs Cleveland , so proud of this team, they did way more than I thought they could do.

So glad for Lowry coming up big when it matters the most.

How to set up a new poll? How many wins do Raptors get in the conference finals?????
Hate to agree with you, but even though the Raps won season series 2-1, I would be happy with a win. James, Love, Irving playing as a unit, decent bench, and Raps without JV, we will see what happens.
The expectations aren't high so that should take some pressure off the boys.

Oh you are so right ... They can finally play relaxed and the weight on those shoulders from last year's playoffs has finally been removed . They will get to enjoy being
on prime time with NBA nation eyes all on them.

To me it was weird watching Raps on ABC .. It is like wow they are talking about us . With how little the Raps are talked about south of the border . I sometime think we are playing in a different league

loved the ABC broadcast, no bullshit! Good description and good color commentary, what I saw of Rose and Collins was also interesting.
My problem was 1 TV, Raps Jays and Nascar, the remote got a workout! I'm on Satellite with just 1 hook up. Actually saw pretty much of everything that I needed to see.

One thing about the Raps game that surprised me, and I found it disappointing, Miami appeared to quit in the 4th. While it was probably out of reach the effort just disappeared. There was a lot of frustration on their part too, thus the flagrant 1 that was probably a 2 and another possible flagrant that was not called.

Well Raps got that monkey off their back and some have suggested the entire zoo is now off their backs!:whoo: It has been one awesome year for basketball in Canada!

It will be tough for the Raptors to win the rebounds battle against the Cav. Cavs were top 10 rebounders both offensively and defensively during the season. Our Canadian boy,Tristan Thompson,is the beast with the Cavs in rebounding!
Carroll could be a different maker in the series because he didn't play at all against the Cavs during the reg season. (I am not sure if he played in one game out of 3)
The weak link in the Cav starters is Kevin Love, imo. If Raps can manage the duo of Irving and LeBron, they might have a chance to shock the USA.
Just steal one game on the road and the Raps will put fear into the Cavs! Top ranked defence plus a potential return of JV will surprise a lot people for this series:eyebrows:

BTW: Who is this dude Lebron James? His name keeps coming up in conversations.
James is just a journeyman with three teams in 7 years. A chronic underachiever and not much to do about anything. Watch out for JR Ewing though he's da bomb!:D:attention::wink:

Dawg, the ultimate nuts just in the nick of time! Remember when we all said at least 2 rounds for this team to be a success this year? Well, now what!! That was quite the journey so far. They took the hardest route possible but it was a riot following so far. Game 1 will be gettable with Raps on their roll and the Cavs with a week off. Raps need to give a great effort tomorrow and surprise might be our only friend. I think we need to win at least a game somewhere and why not the first!:tea::applause::whoo::rockon::flypig::cheer2:

TW, it needs to snow the rest of May....lol!! Let the Eastern Conference Finals begin between the Cleveland Cavaliers and yoooooouuuuurrrrrrrrr Toronto Raptors!!!!!!!:first:

JV is perfect for this series. Neither Love, Thompson, OT Mozgov are a match for him. I hope he comes back for game 3.

Love and Irving can score, but they play matador D. If Scola, Thompson, and Patterson, cam knock down some shots in the pick-n-roll, Cleveland is in for a long series.

We will definitely see James Johnson in this series. Lebron is going to finally face solid defenders this playoffs

Funniest thing I heard is the Raptors are 4 wins away from being 4 wins away ...

Really Rangers ? You had to throw a punch at a Jay on the same day the Raps reach an historical mark

Hear that, JV just busted another wobble board.

This series could be closer than what the so-called pundits are claiming. The pressure if off the Raps, they have nothing to lose, time to leave it all on the floor. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that JV returns for Game 3.

The Raps have to follow the game plan of the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. LeBron got pounded by Tyson Chandler ever time he drove to the basket.

The Raptors will make it a very interesting and entertaining series if they can play every game as they did in game 7 against Miami. That was as good as a game they had played. I'm pretty confident that Lowry and Biyombo will be great but DD, Carrol, Joseph, Patterson, and Ross will have to contribute as they did in game 7.

Playing great defence and making outside shots will be the keys.

We the other...I like it. It was intentional of course, sweeps aren't good for ratings.

Caribana patrons Shaq and Sir Charles are pumped for this series!

Call me a paranoia but I still don't trust NBA referees! They pick the finals not the players! LOL!
Or at the very least steer the game in favour of the team they are told to help get to the league final. :tea:

I'm just gonna enjoy watching this series no matter what. (well, okay if they lose every game by 20 I'll be pissed lol) but seriously this is all gravy. So glad for the franchise and the hardcore fans that show up to Jurassic Park every game.

On another good note, the draft lottery is tonight. Raps expected to pick 9th, but could finish with the 2nd pick. Dream scenario is Raps finishing 2nd and taking a game changer in Brandon Ingram. This has truly been an amazing season.

Rumour is that the Clips may be tearing it down in the off season. We could get another high pick next year.
