Ugly ain't even close to what it was. 29 point lead at the half, reduced to 6 with about 6 min. to go. Clippers were awful in the first half, score should have been worse! Raps bench has to be pure crap, 29 point lead and he doesn't get past Johnson off the bench. The 11 million dollar man did nothing. Biyombo can rebound (thank God!) and little else! As for Bennett, he needs to play somewhere, D league, Europe, or he will be out of the game at a real young age. It is obvious Casey has no faith in his ability.
T.Ross signing may have been the dumbest thing this new GM did ... How many TRoss are in a draft every year ( He ain't anything special ) and with so many draft pics in the bank in this organization .... He could have been easily replaced if he wanted to walk ..

I do love Scola ... He maybe not pretty but he knows one thing ... How to get the ball into the basket ... If I were Bennett I would just pick Scola's brain he maybe the smartest basketball player on this team ..
Scola was an excellent signing, I like your idea but I think Bennett needs his confidence rebuilt and a week or two in the D league could be a big ego boost. If you just put him back on the bench after what we believe will be a successful stint in the D league his confidence will revert to where it is today. My thoughts would be to boost his morale then throw him into the fire and see how he handles it. Might be time to shit or get off the pot!

What a trip...2-3 not great but okay but how they got that was a story, right? Now LBJ and TT to welcome us home....

Let's see what Casey and the team does for the next six weeks without JV.....can't wait for the New Year to get him back...he was starting to become quite effective...

If the Raps were what they wanted us to believe they were, they would have been no less than 4 and 1 on that trip. Golden State is in a league by themselves, Expect them to be a 70 game winner barring injuries.

Will be interesting to see if the Raps are better without Jonas.......we will see.
Lowry, Joseph, Carroll, Scola, and James Johnson, make for some decent small ball!!

The guy really impressing me right now is Co Jo. He seems to get better every game. And his D is stellar.
JV has been pretty disappointing so far this season, don't think he will be missed that much. Lets see if BB can step up and provide a solid 24 minutes without getting into foul trouble.

The Raps are not better without Jonas. Biyombo is a walking turnover machine. DeRozan and Lowry play their worst when he is on the floor because the other teams ignore him on the defensive end. Lowry and DeRozan have taken some bad shots simply because teams are scheming against them when Biyombo is on the floor. Casey is better off starting Scola and Patterson.

I agree with Big Papa, Raps will miss JV. Biyombo is a decent rebounder but provides almost nothing offensively. He appears out of control at times. You can see teams give him lots of room and double team Lowery or DeRozan when he is on the floor. See they have no faith in Lucas as he continues to sit. Likewise Bennett.
In case you missed it or care, Wright sent to the D league.

Oh yea JV will be missed cause the depth at that position consists of a guy named " Lucas " ... I would be curious how Biyombo plays with the starters cause if he is successful then would JV be a good fit for the second unit which requires scoring ...

I thought Wright a 4 year NCAA player would contribute more ... Get the guy down to the DLeague ASAP ... He needs to develop the feel of running a pro offense ... I wonder if the DLeague is coached like the NBA team ie same defensive and offensive schemes .. It would be a good idea ..

They just sent Wright down to the 905. Those who feel JV is not having a good year are crazy. He is averaging 15 and 10. Big men take much longer to develop and he is just 23. His one on one defense isn't bad and he is getting better at team defense. The addition of Carroll, Scola and Co Jo is huge. It's amazing how the main players on the team haven't changed but the defense is so much better.

Adding Carroll means DeRozan doesn't have the job of covering the guys like Lebron anymore ..

nice effort! did not expect them to beat the Cavs. only real negative was the bench and their lack of offence. Biyombo proved that if you leave a 6'9" player alone he can dunk, so maybe he will start to garner a little more attention. Carroll is something else defensively. So after that win, anyone have any idea what to expect from this team going forward?

I don't know why but my excitement level would be greater if we beat Bosh's Heat ... Call it petty but just don't like Bosh and the fact we haven't beat a game when he is playing for the Heat ... I can't take much from the victory cause they were without Mozgov , Dellavedova and this victory may have meant more to us then them ...

Great point about the bench cause the more useless they are the more Carroll , DeRozan and Lowry have to play close to 40 mins a game and they will wear down by the time playoffs come along .. I seems in 3 years all Ross does is shoot 3's ... Maybe he can use some D League action but his ego wouldn't allow it ... He never really earned anything in his time in the league cause by default he became the starting SF cause there was nobody else after the Gay trade ..

The good thing about bench problem is it isn't costly ( via trade ) to fix ... The starting 5 is fixed heck Carroll maybe the best Raptor at the SF that this franchise has ever had and that problem has finally been fixed ..

One guy that we are neglecting is Scola. That was a great pick up and he has been better than I expected. He has a lot of respect from his team mates, would hate to see him go down for any period of time.
raptorized guy you make a great point re the lack of bench strength wearing this team down, not bad now but wait until after the all star game. Has to be someone out there that can help.
On the up side when JV returns he should be good to go for the balance barring injury.

Oh yea big fan of Scola and always wanted the Raps to get this guy ... Perfect city for Scola ... On another note Delon Wright first D-League action 24 pts 9-9 from filed 1-1 from 3's and 5 for 5 at the line ...

It's true the Cavs were banged up big time with Kyrie, Shumpert, Mozgov, Dellavadova all out, but any win over LeBron is awesome. Did you see him just jet to the back after the final buzzer? I bet if the Cavs won, he'd be high-fiving Drake and all that. Guy is such a baby.

Wow your right he is a baby ... This guy just left the floor in one game and went to the bench while the play was one ( Cavs were playing with 4 guys and that is penalty ) ..

Hope that continues and it translates into solid minutes when he returns to the Raps!!!

Another player I tend to overlook is Joseph. He is playing well and keeps getting better as his confidence grows. May become the best back up PG the Raps have had. Still has a tremendous upside.

Ross and Johnson are the biggest disappointments. Bennett is not far behind. Patterson is hot and cold, wish he would get hot and stay there!

James Johnson tweets " #Mood. Under-utilized " .. Not being a good pro but saying that ... Don't blame him but also there maybe things we don't know about behind the scenes that has put him in Cassey's dog house .. He didn't have a great relationship with Cassey in his first go around with the Raptors ..
