........again.......^^^^^^^^^^.......... Sigh.......

TW, quit on these raptors why don't ya so you don't keep taking my focus away on this thread with......Spa!? Spa!?? Did you say she works in a spa...end even if she has crappy reviews I am there..... Just to be under her.......sigh.......

How's your season going betting wise? Did you take the Raps straight up tonight? If you did, sir, that will cost you a trip to the spa....I'd like to be surprised but I made hobbying plans instead of watching the game ....good luck with your parlays!
Lol, thanks, man but I'm taking a break on betting til the New Year, I was way behind this year, I think K Douglas is the man when it comes to betting, I suck. Here is a non-Raptors girl post so you don't get distracted.

Raps knock off the Heat Interesting that Casey started James Johnson ahead of the 11million dollar man and JJ had arguably his best game of the year. Ross coming off the bench played well and may have had his best game of the year. I wonder what the chances are of those two continuing to perform at a decent standard are? Now someone get Patterson going!!! Wade was high scorer for the Heat and also led them in turnovers with 8.

Much better shooting performance from Lowrey who went 8 - 18. Against Charlotte he was 6 - 29.

Damn, TW, you should have taken the Raps straight up!!!! ,.......

Dawg, your boy obviously needs to come off the bench to be effective rather than start, lol!!

After a great evening without the Raps it was different to come back and watch them actually win in Miami with TSn replay. Now if they can carry it through to the break against the Kings and Mavs at home it'd be enough to make up for the start of this road trip where they were godawful in Indiana and Charlotte. Man, can't wait till JV and DC get back and hopefully consistency will return with them. These up and down weeks don't help with blood pressure much!!

:thumb: to the Bucks for showing up last night in GS and facing the music and almost got away with a second win! I really thought GS would skunk 'em but Bucks played tough, and at Oracle, no less. So kudos to them for not posting that one in....

Bennett to play in a D league game this afternoon, and is expected to be in the line up for the Sacramento game this evening.

Did someone tell the Raptors to take the night off! Down 31 - 9 with 3 minutes left first period. Got to be the worst start by far this season if not the last few years.

Thankfully it is very early in the game but they are giving themselves a big hole to get out of.

These slow starts are frustrating, it has been a pattern all season. I like Dwayne Casey a lot but preparing your team to be ready at tip-off is a coaches responsibility.

Agree but once the boys are on the court....different way to junk another one....is KLo showing signs that team is getting frustrated with each other..? ....hope the news from the docs this week is good on JV and DC cuz they'd be missed right now.......Mavs are going to be a tough out before Xmas..

Watched the first five minutes...... what a disaster! No defense and the Raps were messing up layups. Heard Carroll is real close to returning and should be available for the next road trip.
JV cleared to practice, Bruno and Powell sent to D league.

That game last night represented the season perfectly...look unbeatable with great play then look like the 76ers with no heart then play well enuff to win in the end...the good news is that they won! Nice BtB when we get going again after Xmas with Bucks and Bulls on the road! At some point we must have a home game or two soon, no?!?!?!?....again to all Seasons best....

they did win and that was good. Bennett and Wright got to play when it mattered, that was good. 11 million dollar man made some nice shots, that was good, now if they could only get him to drive the basket and get to the foul line occasionally, that would be good! They should have won without any drama but considering they were without 3 guys and Patterson was not feeling well, take the win!

Gotta give them credit. The bench was really thin with all the injuries. Its unfair to expect Anthony Bennett to come in and shut down Dirk Nowitzki. That's when the ran begun.

Bizmack Biyombo is putting up some Ben Wallace type numbers lately plus he's improved his free throw shooting. In terms of strategy, I don't like him in the starting line up because they don't have to guard him, but the results have been surprisingly good. I hope JV comes off the bench as the sixth man when he comes back. That 2nd unit could use some scoring punch and JV needs the touches.

That's when the ran begun.Thought it was good for Bennett to learn what he has to do to make it in the NBA. I do agree he was overmatched. One of the worst things that happened to Bennett was to be the #1 overall draft pick. Tough to live up to that!

Biyombo has been a pleasant surprise and appears to be continually improving. I think as he and his new team mates have gotten use to each other they have complimented each other and that may be why we see the improvement. His shooting, while not great, has improved and he is getting more attention. He plays hard, no one can complain about effort. When JV gets back it will definitely cut into Biyombo's playing time, however he should be able to play the 4 and spell Patterson and Scola a bit. The big Brazilian, Luis?, has his moments, both good and bad, and I hope they keep giving him playing time once JV gets back. He needs to play so Raps can figure out if he will be of use. Raps do need a guy that can come off the bench and light a fire, so far Joseph is the only player that slightly resembles that player. I like Joseph but he isn't the offensive threat Williams was.

Raps win, 76ers keep pace! Wow Philly doubles their win total for the year last night beating the Suns!
Score in Raps game was due to a 4th quarter collapse by the Bucks, prior to that game was close. The 11 million dollar man had a decent night. Scored well and played a good game, he actually drove to the basket and scored. Only saw that once but he actually went inside with defensive players there, and scored, shocking! ( I really hope he continues to play well, cause the talent is there when he wants it to be!) Demarre Carroll returned, came off the bench, not surprisingly looked a little rusty. Raps got some bench scoring, and got to rest the starters some. Good effort and next Da Bulls! That will be a lot tougher!

It's a tough division, isn't it!!?!! BTW, all I asked for Xmas was a bench and holy Christmas miracle, there was a bench sighting in a Rap game, and on the Rap side no less! Good to see DC mobile again. PP and JJ being solid citizens again. And yes D, he's now about a 7.75 to 8.25M now and possibly might be a solid long term investment yet! Okay I'll wait for a bit yet before we go that far yet! Good solid effort after a break against one of the top teams in the league ( whhhattttt! ...they beat the Warriors and aren't they like the best..:D:wink:) good way to end Boxing Day! Da Bulls are reeling right now so it's a good time to go in and try to stick it to 'em. The year end home stand will be welcomed..

But back to that bench, I really needed a bench for the foyer for us old folks to sit on and remove footwear, catch a breath or even take a nap..!!! And that's what IKEA is for......2 benches on Boxing Day who knew..!!

This following week will be a litmus test for the Raps. They have two road games against Cleveland and Chicago, then the Bulls at home. I'd be happy going 1-2. If we win two games, then I'd be on cloud nine.

It sucks that Philly beat Phoenix because the Raps have that Denver/NYK unprotected pick this year. Phoenix and Denver are tied in the win column. Denver is going to go through the toughest part of their schedule this month. If the Nuggets are way behind the pack by the trade deadline, expect them to have a fire sale for picks and young talent. The Bucks are starting to play alot better lately, while the Knicks have been faltering. That is another good sign.

Andrea Bargnani is the gift that keeps on giving. Who would of thunk that we could possibly get a lotto pick in a deep draft without having to tank. Masai Ujiri is, hands down, the best GM we've ever had.

They had the game over here in Europe. But it came with the Bucks commentary, which kept on talking up their chances throughout the game. Annoying of course if you're a Raptors fan.

Bucks have a strong home record so wasn't ever going to be easy as their overall record suggested it could be.

So do we have any chance of landing a Boogie Cousins? If Miami and Boston are both after Boogie, then don't we have a better chance with Dwayne Casey as a coach over Spoelstra or Brad Stevens. Aren't we more willing to give up Byombo and/or Valunciunas or Ross as well as draft picks?
