11-1 and yet we are still behind boston and philly. What does it take before they acknowledge we are the best in the east?

Where is that from?

NBA Power Rankings has Raptors fourth overall, but ahead of those two. Previous week Raptors were number one. Monday I anticipate they will be back to number one if they beat New York.

But now that Philly has JButts we have been relegated again to the have nots! Lol! At least JButts will now have another team he'll be responsible for breaking apart......!!

YUP "the Jimmy Show" has moved to Philly. Supposedly Philly believes they can sign him to a long term max contract! Max contract OK, long term, probably not a good idea!

Nice effort from the bench in knocking off the Knicks. Bench, for the most part, looked better than the starters.

Trap game always goes to form! Why do bballers get jet lagged so easily? Lol! Bench rounding into deep depth form. The Brow is in town so another West wannabe will be another test at home for the gang. The next week will be interesting, with emotion (Coach's return), another tussle with the floundering Celts on the road and a (probably) no-Kawhi back to back with the young flying Bulls. But first 12-1, control Holliday and the Brow and Let's go Raps!

I agree. Toronto wins three more games this week including the Pelicans and the Celts and the league will have been served notice. I'm nervous about this week.

and I can see Korver teaming up with Reddick and Buttler to really open up the inside for Embid and penetration of Simmons and Buttler.

The East is very interesting now.

Where we have an advantage over the likes of Boston and Philly is in our depth. But our starting five doesn't match either of theirs. Especially with Philly just picking up Butler. There will be pressure on Ujiri to add a big name near the deadline. There are a bunch of big men free agents but I think we need a shooting guard/small forward who can hit threes. I hope they look at Tobias Harris with the Clippers dude is lighting it up this season so far.

Is Tobias Harris available? Clippers are in the playoff hunt this year. Are they thinking of rebuilding?

Is Vucevic in Orlando on the block again? they're more likely not in the playoff race and more likely to be rebuilding. Do we need more back up at the center position?

Both Kenny Smith and Jalen Rose put Raptors as top team in the East.

One side effect of the Butler trade is Phily's lost some depth.

Oops! Just a stagnant effort and first with Kawhi in. Now that some aggravation is in the team (losing, first norm now CJ, Casey back, snow on the ground!) let's see what they come back with. 12-2, good to see ya coach, Pistons to the floor, let's go Raps!

Still too early to tell but I would expect that the Clippers will not be in a playoff position come mid season. It's just a matter of time before Galinari goes down with injury. I could be wrong but we'll see how it plays out. Harris is an unrestricted free agent at end of season.

Didn't see the game.

What happened to Lowry? 4 points in 33 minutes, with 11% shooting WTF.

From the stats, it looks like the Raptors were out-rebounded.

Didn't watch much of it, as while I was watching, Raps were getting open shots and clunk off the rim, nothing much was dropping and you could pretty much see it was going to be a long, bad night.

Jrue Holiday couldn't miss for them. And Anthony Davis had his way inside.

Imho that was a trap game for the Raps vs New Orleans.. We have far more important games against Detroit and Boston on the horizon.

New Orleans is deadly when Anthony Davis is healthy. Their record would probably still be perfect still if he didn't get hurt We actually looked really good other than it was our first real off night shooting. With AD they definitely dominated us on the boards but we had some great defensive stops at times. If we shoot 38% from 3 rather than 18% this game is tied. I'm just glad we don't have to play New Orleans in our division. On to Detroit!
