Toronto continues to take care of business, but Milwaukee is on a tear. We went out west and yes we went undefeated....but against phoenix, LA, Utah, and Sacramento(bottom dwellers). Milwaukee is out there now beating Denver and now No 1 Portland, and scored 143 points. They're getting scary.
Last night’s game was in Milwaukee, but I agree the Bucks are a scary bunch right now, could be the Raptors opponent in the East finals.

What position does the Greek Commendatore play? If they meet in the playoffs would Kwahi be covering him?

Serge's latest upload, couldn't stop laughing.

IV Serge has been killing it with this series, and I can't wait till Kawhi shows up (and he will) on a segment once he signs long term here :peace: lol!

Freak is the epitome of today's modern player. The word "positionless" is the ultimate compliment in 2018 NBA. All traditional roles and positions are meaningless today. Hence, "big" or "small" lineups are in and skill and speed are back in vogue. Raps have Siakam growing in the Freak mold. To your point, great defenders with wingspan (see Kawhi Leonard, who is a Raptor :very_drunk: , sorry just can't stop saying that) will guard opponents best regardless of their role or position. Klaw vs Freak will be a battle royale!

Wonk, Beup totally agree that come crunch time, Bucks might be our biggest hurdle. Half glass view is Bucks complement to Freak have been over achieving so they have to maintain that till May. If so, yes they'll be tough especially if Middleton becomes allstar worthy. While Celts have wilted, they still have so much depth and skill that if they get it together, they're much like the Bucks. 76ers with JButthole are better but their lack of outside shooting will be their downfall. Quarter of season done, therefore hell of a lot more to go but early returns ( from this totally unbiased viewpoint) still favour the Raps to wrap (see what I did there lol) it up sooner than later. If we ever get a full rotation healthy and they play to their career avgs, even you dawg, will enjoy Jack's calls for the rest of the year!

in the meantime, the gong show rolls in tonight (what a drama in Wizland this season!), 15-4, don't let the Wiz off, let's go Raps!

gfe: I enjoy the games on Sportsnet! The TSN games I enjoy as long as my MUTE works!
....even on mute raps keep on ballin'. This group still keeps on going. Wiz still dangerous and showed it for about 6 mins in 2nd and 6 mins in 3rd but boys just played thru and stomped them. Now a stretch of games (next 10 I think) where all teams are currently above .500, no back to backs, just solid one on one off action (just what Terbites like lol!) and a chance with (knock on wood) all hands on deck to get more gelling and comfort together. This stretch will be the foundation for the rest of the season! Surprise west leaders Grizz, home and home with Warriors, nuggets, 76ers, Bucks, etc. So statement games hard and fast up till Xmas. Looking forward to Klaw's progress, Kloe redemption tour and the rest just getting better. It's been a real happy time watching Leonard play, it's just been a bunch of wows only because I've never seen top shelf on a daily basis. The guy just balls, knows the game, plays it hard, and supposedly isn't 100% yet! He controls games so easily so I can't wait, thru this stretch, to see what he'll do against some quality. Soooo, 16-4, always pesky Heat in domani, no let up, let's go Raps!

as much as the east has gotten stronger, the west has levelled out too. Top 7 teams all within 1/2 game. Lakers are slightly off the 1/2 game difference but they get a buy with Lebron. Definitely will be interesting to see where the RAps stand by mid December after playing GS twice, the Lakers, Memphis, Philly and Milwaukee with Kawhi hopefully throughout.

I'm still waiting for Matt Devlin to call a 3 pointer from Wawa.

JV and DG got off easy, the best meat on a pig is around the head. DeMar had it much tougher but I've already posted that. The strength of our city: Serge can get home cooking here. Not many cities can make that claim.

He's from the French part of the Congo - better food.

And another W.
W is the good news. Had a 26 point lead and won by 10. KLo sunk a 3 to finally seal the W,. 26 point lead and Raptors gave a team hope....AGAIN! Need to kick ass and finish the job! Yeah there was a missed call, but there have been missed calls before and will be again! Get over it and finish the kill!
Leonard got a technical. WTF......did he glare at an official?

Its amazing how hard we are on ourselves as Raps fans. Gone are the days that we are struggling to make the playoffs. Now we're getting pissed about not winning all of our games by larger margins. Its kind of difficult to kill every team in the league. Only Golden State "had" been doing that and resting their starters every 4th quarter. Once you get ahead and give your hot players a rest, we expect the next 5 to be just as hot? Very difficult to do. Every team is ful of NBA elite players. Even Cleveland has been winning lately. Every game is a battle, and you know that now that we're in first place every team brings their A-game and watches our tape. Its been tougher the last few games for Siakam to get those quick break out points off the defensive boards. The guy is getting really good, cause even with teams knowing about it now, he still got 2 last night. And you could tell they're were on to him.

Wonky: I don't care how much the Raps win by just as long as they win! My bitch is they build up a nice comfortable lead and then start to surrender it instead of continuing to build on it! Last night they were kicking ass until the "no Call". At that point some guy named Wade started giving lessons on how to play the game and made the game close! How many games have the Raps built up a "safe lead" and then had it pissed away, until they lost(Pistons) or made it too close for comfort (multiple examples).

Siakim is good and getting better. Has to be most improved player, on the Raps, for sure, and probably, in the league!

Imho its the dynamics of professional sports... All teams will go on a run at some point during a game. It does not matter how inferior a team might be. Lets go Raps! Huge game against Golden State this week!!

Dawg, you're right, this is the worst 17-4 team in raptor history :Cry:lol!!

This is what top shelf BBall looks and feels like. Spent the first 15 games watching this bunch thru pre-2018 eyes and seeing all that was not right. But now watching all that is right is way more fun. Wonk's starting to get it, and soon all of us will get it : this is starting to be special. Again, as stated in prev posts, the next 10 games will be the foundation of the rest of the year. Tough, tough games with statements almost every night till Xmas. Targets on our backs every night here on in. Let's see how our Christmas countdown goes.

I agree, Dawg, we could be better closing but even that flaw is fundamentally different than years past. This is my greatest concern so far in that the past, it was always starters stunk, bench mob extends, starters wake up, mob does their thing and starters then hang on. Now, starters always get it going, bench sob tries to get going, starters go nuts again, bench sob gets discombobulated and starters try to hang on. Detroit and Boston losses best examples when starters also suck. Bench will get better and more cohesive but right now, this weapon from past is not up to snuff. If they were 75% of their greatness last year, we'd be 21-0 now! The but is this is a very skilled bench with scorers and defenders aplenty. CJ, FVV, Wright even OG aren't playing 100% now and nothing shows me they won't get there. Now that most are healthier and playing more together daily, one can only hope we'll get closer to 48 minutes of terror like the Warriors.

Where were you when Kawhi Leonard (who is a Toronto Raptor) got his first regular season technical foul for breathing on an official? Would love to see the referee report from last night. Now I know why LBJ gets so mad sometimes. I guess that's how Klaw leads, he just goes nuts on officials!! I know Klaw is still getting back to beast mode and I think the refs are also getting reacquainted with Klaw after a year off. Refs last night were new and may have never seen Klaw play live. That, too, will change as the year progresses. All in all, there are so many subplots this first year of top shelf ball in the six. Can't wait to see how all of them unfold.......so 17-4, the surprising Graceland Grizz on the road to start this Christmas season, put that bear in hibernation, let's go Raps! :very_drunk:

Tough week coming up in Memphis, Golden State at home just in time for them to get Curry back, then at the Cavs who have a modest win streak going

How good could Curry be in his first game back. Hopefully they're a bit messed up again with him back in the lineup on Friday.

I wouldn't say this is the worst 17-4 team.... think about this. They achieved that record with their best player occasionally sitting out parts of games or entire games.

Sit stoudamire, carter, DeRozan, bosh.... how would those rosters fare?

Will Kawhi stay? I think it depends on what teams can sign him and how they compare to the raptors.

Unfortunately, even the clippers are playing well so if he wants to end up in California the options are decent.

But I will say this..... at the very least we have a chance of throwing him a boat load of money. Also, if we had kept Demar we would be stuck with his fat contract.

A great win last night! Down by 17 in the 3rd quarter, Nurse made some great adjustments on defense going to a zone which stifled the Memphis offense. Lowry and Van Fleet shot very well in the 2nd half.
