Here's my order!
David Palmer - shot on the neck by an assassin
He is just too well respected in the show.
Nina Myers - shot by Jack Bauer point blank
She deserves it. Been waiting for a long time.
Edgar Stiles - killed by the syntox gas
A little contraversial because he's getting too famous in the show?
Ryan Chappelle - unwillingly executed by Jack Bauer
Hated him initially but then felt sorry for him in the end. He took it like a champ though.
George Mason - killed himself kamakazi style after being exposed to radio active substances
Again, like Chappelle, hated him at first but then felt sorry. Died a hero.
Tony Almeida - got the deadly needle by Christopher Henderson
Always liked Tony but then he died like a coward because he couldn't kill the person responsible for his wife's death.
Michelle Dessler - killed by a car bomb explosion
She looked real HOT with that tang top right before she died.
Teri Bauer - killed by Nina Myers
It was very sad after all that had happened to her. She briefly lost her memory. She got raped not knowing that she's already pregnant. All that just because she wanted to look for her daughter? That's not fair.
Sherry Palmer - killed by Wayne Palmer's secret rendez-vous
I really don't care about this person's existence in the show.
Others?

The episode where Chapelle died a couple of years ago was one of the best hours of television you`ll ever find. Extremely gut-wrenching and outstanding acting performances from both him and Keifer. As mentioned earlier, Chapelle was a bit of an asshole, but you had to feel sorry for him when he looked back on his life and said he never had any real friends.

I didn`t like the way they killed off Tony. Considering that he was probably the 2nd most important character in the shows history, his death was treated like a minor plot twist that was quickly forgotten.

It was fitting that Edgar died because he was too fat and slow to get into the room in time. Probably would`ve died of a heart attack anyway.

24 deaths-the unknown characters

when the terrorists go into a gas producing plant or whatever and the guard says "you need clearance" and BOOM! he's dead. they should do a count on how many times that's happened.

Actually, if you go to the official 24 site and go to the message boards, you can find the unofficial death count for each season.

Chappelle's death was by far the best one, followed by Teri Bauer's. Chappelle's death was the culmination of a great hour of TV (as someone stated before), but the fact that Jack had to do it and the struggle he had doing in just made for some really compelling TV.

Teri's death was a great moment and is really what made that season so incredible. Here you have Jack, who over the course of 24 hours has tried to rebuild his marriage, been accused of attempting to assassinate a Senator, had his wife and daughter kidnapped (multiple times), realized that the man he thought he killed years ago was still alive and was being broken out of a high security jail, and had his own life in danger. He gets through ALL of this, yet he can't save his wife. Powerful stuff
