This is not so much a review as an experience. Not an entirely happy one. I debated about whether to even post it but thought given all the good advice I've received off this board, I should.

I was driving through Guelph around 10:30 the other night and thought I might drop into 400 Speedvale to see who was working. I had been there a couple of times in the past seeing Vicky and enjoyed myself. Vicky wasn't working this night so I picked a nice Korean lady named Yo Yo. I asked if I could use the washroom first and then proceeded to the room and got undressed. Yo Yo came in a couple of minutes later (quite attractive I thought) and started the massage. We were just a few seconds into it when there was an obvious disturbance at the front and some yelling. Yo Yo covered me up with a towel and continued with the massage. Important to note that Yo Yo is fully clothed (or I think it's important). Anyway the disturbance continues and there is a knock on the door. Yo Yo anwers it and is asked to come out. It is obvious it is law enforcement. Oh great. The police have arrived and I'm the only naked person in the place.

A couple of minutes goes by and I'm wondering what I should be doing when one of the policemen then pokes his head in the door and says "Psst...quick get dressed" The tone of the voice was more friendly than confrontational...or that's the way I remember it. I got dressed and a few minutes later the officer came in and the friendliness was now gone....or that's the way I remember it. He gave me the third degree, told me that they're trying to close this place down and then told me to get out of there with a warning. "Don't get caught by me here again or you'll be halled in". He also told me that the best I could hope for was I wouldn't hear from him again. I was curious about what the worst would be and that would appear to be a subpoena if charges were to be laid. Discretion being the better part of valour I left passing the ladies who were arguing with the police.

So I was curious if they had indeed closed the place down. It was certainly open the next day when I drove by. So what is this? Nothing illegal was happening unless me being naked is against the law (which wouldn't necessarily be a bad law....but I digress). I don't pretend to know the difference between Guelph local laws and other areas. Are Guelph's finest just picking on this place? What about the other MPs? Are they trying to scare people like me away from this place?....which by the way likely has worked, since who needs this shit.

But it does seem sort of heavy handed to me given the plethora of places around that seem to be functioning right in front of the municipality.

WHOA!
Thanks for the heads up joej!
Think I'll avoid my usual haunts at Woolwich and 226 for a while then.
Usual ward councillors in Guelph must be on the holier-than-thou warpath again.
It'll blow over in a few weeks.
Hands Of Heaven here I come!

Yikes... did they record any of your personal information?
Yes...they asked to see my driver's licence. So I think they know how to find me. Hopefully they don't intend to.

This type of LE is bullshit, and likely a scare-tactic.

If your story is accurate, you didn't really do anything wrong. I wouldn't worry to much about it man. I'm going to hope that the police realize there are for more pressing issues needing their attention than cracking down on men who like to get massages from attractive women.

Christ, I've been to RMTs for sport-related injuries and been basically stripped down to my birthday suit - what's the diff?

Right?

Right.

No worries, man. You'll be fine.

Especially in Guelph where drugs and drug related crimes have gone up something like 300% in the last few years.

where u least expect me
I visited 226 Speedvale recently and was told by one of the girls that the new by-law is in effect - some sort of holistic deal. Apparently Holistic Spas may only be open for business between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. so no wander 400 is on a police radar being open late at night.

I have never understood this sort of thing. The OP was not doing anything wrong or illegal. When I go for a "legit" massage (and the RMT is hot...) I am buck naked, although my ass is under a towel. (Can't blame her for that...)

Assuming a guy isn't found engaged in some "carnal" act, then presumably the only thing the cops can do in a spa is cite them for bylaw infractions... Blocked fire exits etc.

Farking Storm Troopers.

Actually that is interesting because the police did ask me whly I came to the spa when the posted closing time was 10 pm. I said I didn't know that. I just knew that the OPEN neon sign was lit up. I didn't even know there was a time posted on the door. Perhaps that explains why they showed up.

So what do the Guelph politicans expect us to do with our weiners after 10pm.

Oh ya................... do my usual after 10 pm therapy.

I predict a lot of forearms in Guelph will be getting bigger.

Can't you just picture all the guys driving into these locations after 10 thinking WTF. Idle for minute, look all confused, drive to the next one. look all confused, idle again while you wonder WTF, go home all fucked up, jerk off reluctantly.

Actually most of us who live in the area already knew this.

Woolwich, 226, and Michener have all been closing at 10pm for years.

A couple "non-licenced" MP's in Kitchener have been telling me the police want them closed after 8pm. The only two "legally licenced" MP's in Kitchener are apparently Phoenix and Ruby's.

I have driven by the area a few times (a friend lives close... i swear!! haha) and there has often been police cars int he parking lot.

You have to figure that with a new LARGE union office now in the plaza, there is probably more pressure from the tenants and owners of the plaza to shut it down.

Don't get me wrong... wish it could last, but we all know the rule about all good things!
