Well my spin on that would be, NO FUCKING APPEAL

Thanks for the link, I'll definitely read it.
That would be unfortunate.
There have been lots of guys in Canada convicted of murder who turned out to be innocent.
Guy Paul Morin
David Milgarde
Donald Marshall
Stephen Truscott (he was 14 and sentenced to hang)
Juries are usually not the brightest bulbs in the box. I remember watching a doc about Guy Paul Morin who went to trial TWICE for murdering Christine Jessop. They were interviewing this one fat chick who sat on the jury and she said, "I knew he was guilty because when he was testifying, he didn't make eye contact with the jury"
Excuse me?
Ever heard of the evidence you fat sow?
Obviously not.
Juries are very very fallible and often rely on their instincts.
In Morin's case, the jury was made up of morons, but the cops and the crown were actively working to frame him since they "knew" he did it. There was evidence that cleared the poor son of a bitch, but they covered it up.
As much as these boxing day punks all deserve the death penalty, I don't believe in executing even them. No, they can sit in jail for the rest of their sorry lives.
Preferably that new Canadian Arctic jail were the cells are all heated to 45 degrees F.
