Piss OffNone of that matters. It doesn't matter if it his first robbery or not.
I am not saying he wasn't in the wrong, but, beating him like an animal over and over, after he is already subdued and restrained, instead of calling the police is not right. I dont get all the "fuck yeah!" attitudes, which just amounts to endorsing needless cruelty. Just call the cops!
That’s kind of why I mentioned that. If they were in blue, everyone would be saying way over the line. That’s brutality.Police beatings are also bad. Am not advocating for police violence. If the guy is stealing its reasonably expected that he will be restrained and in the process beaten. But after you have taken him down there is no reason to whale on him like that with everyone cheering him on as if they give two shits about justice. I can flip that around and ask what people's reaction would be if it was a white man. Would you display the same lack of empathy? Am sure there is a race angle to the way people are reacting to this, but that's for people to introspect on. I mean it has to be one of two things. Either these fuckwits cheering the beating on or calling for more violence have a morbid fascination with seeing violence, which implies some mental health issue. OR it is good ol' racism where in another time they'd be part of a lynch mob.
OTOH care about justice? Then just restrain the guy and call the police! That's what you should do.
This is a little different though. That 7-11 store is located in California and that State is currently so rampant with shoplifting that cops hardly even bother prosecuting or arresting people anymore. What I saw in those 2 Sikhs was frustration and anger from being robbed so many times, that they decided to take the law into their own hands. People can only put up with so much.So vigilante beatings are good, but police beatings bad. Strange world indeed.
I think we all know what the general consensus would be if they were wearing blue.
Kind of with Kautilya. No problems with beating the snot out of him, but at some point …”enough is enough”.
which is what happened. Without really beating the snot out of him. He was able to walk away, albeit without the garbage can full of stolen cigarettes. Lesson learned. No harm done. He got off easy. I blame the parents. So vigilante beatings are good, but police beatings bad. Strange world indeed.

Nothing like a “smack upside the head to straighten kids out”which is what happened. Without really beating the snot out of him. He was able to walk away, albeit without the garbage can full of stolen cigarettes. Lesson learned. No harm done. He got off easy. I blame the parents.![]()
What is it with East Indians and these long sticks?
The Vancouver guy showed sociopathic unconcern. However in both cases, filming the incident might prove useful legally. As for the beating, the guy got hit on the legs and was able to walk out. He got away lucky with no criminal charges. He is like this asshole in Vancouver, who was filming the dad who was stabbed outside Starbucks and did not even attempt to help the bleeding guy out before he died (in front of his 3 year old no less). Instead was more concerned with capturing the murder on camera and posting it on Tiktok for views, and proceeded to express no remorse for his actions either. Sick people man!
I find it strange you noticed how many strikes he got but you're not counting the number of smokes he attempted to steal. No one knows if he has a gun. These owners were brave enough to defend their livelihood. Each stick strike does not equate to the number of cigarettes stollenNone of that matters. It doesn't matter if it his first robbery or not.

Its so perfect. love when people get what they deserve. I'm sure police officers who witnessed this video kick back their feet and smile when they see this.Fucking love it
There's another video pal where the thief said he had a gun. Anyways who cares. What's meant to be happens for a reason. You are overstating the danger here and being overtly dramatic. The guy is just a broke dude doing something stupid. He neither had a gun nor did he pull one out. He was thrown to the ground and the guy was on top of him, and there was this idiot filming it. The 3 of the could have held him down and then called the police. There was no need for this much violence nor was the situation serious enough to warrant it.
As someone said, when you take away hope this is the result. California at the moment has decriminalized shoplifting. So no, calling the cops is pretty much now not an option. You are overstating the danger here and being overtly dramatic. The guy is just a broke dude doing something stupid. He neither had a gun nor did he pull one out. He was thrown to the ground and the guy was on top of him, and there was this idiot filming it. Oh California has decriminalized shoplifting?Evidence that they have?
Stop, there was no reason to do any of this. The other guy was on top of him any way. The one guy video taping it could have helped hold him down while the other guy dialed 911. That is what should have happened. Initially as they took him down it would have been understandable if the guy suffered some beating, but subsequently there was no need. Saying shit like they have decriminalized shoplifting etc is just bullshit right wingers like to say just because it is California.
When police don't show up, and DA's won't prosecute, what else is it?
Since you seem to want to argue this one into the ground. If we scoped the area where the perp is probably still loitering and brought him in for an equal time response/ q&a interview. The question might be asked.....what the fuck did you think was going to happen? Its not that they dont show up. The criticism is that it is a misdemeanour instead of a felony. But a misdemeanour still has consequences including jail time.
I think the beating subdued him. Maybe he had ninja moves the store clerks didn't know about. All bets are off once it starts.I am not arguing anything to the ground. I am saying the same thing over and over again and I think I should stop responding.
Simply, that the guy was wrong, he was restrained but the beating was unnecessary.
Living in the country there’s a saying. When police don't show up, and DA's won't prosecute, what else is it?
