Whispers getting louder, calling your name. Peaches
Great tune. Its going on my classic soul playlist right now. I love the backing vocals the voice sounds familiar to me.

another "problem" song..highlighted by some great guitar work, and a thick strong underpinning of drums

i assume the background girls got their inspiration from the Wilson Pickett tune "it s too late"

RIP Hitman Howie Tee who passed away a couple of days ago at the age of 61. Damn they falling like dominoes. Howie produced some hip hop gems in the late 80's and early 90's.

"Nothing Serious (Just Buggin')" by Whistle. Co-produced with Kangol Kid from UTFO back all the way in 1985

Howie's first cousin was rapper Chubb Rock. He ended up producing all his albums starting with And the Winner Is... in 1989

"Ya Bad Chubbs"

He produced demos for a neighbor, 16 year old rapper Special Ed. At 17, Special Ed was signed to Profile Records and Howie produced his debut LP, 'Youngest in Charge', released in 1989.
"I'm the Magnificent"

Probably his greatest success as a producer came when he hooked up with R&B/New Jack Swing group Color Me Badd in 1991. He mixed and co-produced their lead single "I Wanna Sex You Up" and produced the single "All 4 Love" that went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Hitman also produced Special Ed's sophomore LP 'Legal' which I think overall is some of his best work as a producer. I own an original vinyl copy of this record. I cherish it.
