X amazing series of disco examples. Its sorta eye opening to me how disco has roots in the early Philly soul sound. I never put that link together despite having a huge affinity to the Philly soul sound created by Gamble, Huff, Bell etc. On another note were David Ruffin and Jimmy Ruffin related?

Robert Ouimet, the best disco DJ in Montreal
used to mix the next song into the one above as it was fading out, around 2:48, by speeding up Mayaguana
and perfectly beat-matching it...
