If he was working as a realtor while on duty that's fraud, hence the criminal charge. I'd rather they just can his ass we don't need dishonest people like that on the police force.
Yeah, I have no problem with him working a side job to make some extra coin.
But not when he's on the job. That crosses a line.
Years ago, I worked for massive corporation and the guy in the office beside mine owned a few houses that he rented out. He spent half his day on the phone sorting out BS associated with property management, tenants, showings, etc. I could hear right through the walls. I get that everyone has some personal shit that they need to sort out at work, we all do it. But this was excessive. Every other day it seemed. It actually drove me nuts. Thing is, he got away with it. (And he wasn't that good at his job either.)
