My opinion of Alberta, and to a lesser extent papasmerf, has been thrown for a loop.
For all you non-Canadians, Alberta is the bastion of Canadian Conservatism. The Conservative Party has governed the Province in perpetuity for almost fifty years. Dick Cheney has made several trips to the Province without any sign of protest.
Recently I started a thread about the gorgeous Anne Hathaway (my sig pic). Papasmerf posted that if I wanted to appreciate her thespian talents I should watch Brokeback Mountain. The scenes of male love made me uncomfortable and I figured that Smerfdaddy was playing a joke on me. I noticed that Brokeback Mountain looked suspiciously like Lake Louise so I watched the film into the credits. Sure enough not only was the movie shot in Alberta; the production company got a grant from The Alberta Arts Council to get the movie made.
Has hell just frozen over?
