Terbites - can you give me some advice. my doc has just precribed Cialis for me for the first time - 20mgs. I am late 40's and now a little slower in recovering for 2nd and subsequent rounds. I will worry later about trying to find a cheaper source than local pharma. I hope this will be worth it.
My questions to experienced users:
1. How long before planned "activity" do you recommend taking. I have checked threads - some say 30 mins, others a few hours?
2. Any issues with alcohol - I don't drink excessively, but do enjoy a few glasses of wine. ie split a bottle with fav. SP. Will there be an issue combining Cialis and wine.
3. I do have an issue with PE. Some have suggested a desensitising with Cialis. Any experience with lasting longer on 2nd or 3rd rounds when using Cialis?

I appreciate any advice. If this works I may have to change handle to 4 and out!! Well at least I can dream about it.

I tried Cialis last month and have used it about 5 times since then. I am also in my late 40's and don't always perform as well as I would like. Got two free samples packs (2 tablets each) from a walk-in clinic, which was a good deal since they cost $15 per tab. I went back for a prescription after the first dose because I liked the result.

To answer your questions:
1. I get a very quick response, within 30-45 minutes, and it lasts until the next day.
2. The instructions say not to drink heavily, since it may worsen the side effects, but I've had no issues with a bottle of wine between 2 people.
3. Can't comment on the PE issue, although I would agree that there might be a desensitizing aspect with Cialis, but I can't say for sure. As for 2nd or 3rd rounds, no problems with getting it up, but it takes me significantly longer to finish.

From my own personal experience, don't take 20mg as it is way too much and the side effects are very noticable (upset stomach and severe headache). However, since the cost is the same for 10mg and 20mg tabs (which is a rip off), just cut them in half. It takes a bit more work, but I actually cut them into 3rds and the side effects are barely noticable then. I also take an Imodium at the same time and that eliminates the stomach problems. Sounds like a pain in the ass to have to go through all this, but I really do enjoy the benefits because it definitely gets the job done.

Cialis start to be effective within 30min. and last for 36hrs. so you plan your activity within that time frame. if you have 20mg. just cut in half. at your age you only need 10mg. drinking may decrease the effectivity, because alcohol dilates the blood vessel which reduces the blood flow on your system.

Am I the only one a little dismayed by the fact that people are suggesting he alter his intake of the drug, despite the fact that his DOCTOR prescribed that amount?

Thanks Guys for the feedback. Any other views on 10mgs vs. 20mgs? Is the downside the risk of headache and stomach upset - is there any risk of "excessive" wood. I don't need the little guy to get too out of control. I am going to be having company over two evenings - so longer lasting is probably a benefit.
My doc is a relatively young lady doc. Maybe I should be asking for a clinical trial on each of the prescription levels!!

I don't really see how recommending a lower dosage would be frowned upon by his DOCTOR???

I could understand your point if people were suggesting he increased dosage.
