So Todd and Chris are brothers. They are about 6 years apart. When Todd was born, he had to stay in the NICU for about a month and because of that, and him being the last child, he was spoiled. He always needs to be the center of attention and their parents never step up to do anything about it. It is too the point that Todd will do something during special family events to stand out and shine. Including announcing his GF’s pregnancy at their sister’s baby shower {In case you don’t know guys, this is a big no-no}
Fast forward a few months and Chris is getting married to his GF, Abby. While out doing groomsmen things, Chris’s BF sees a receipt that falls out of Todd’s pocket. Asking what it was about, Todd admitted he was planning to propose to his GF. Chris’s BF told Chris and Chris called Todd and uninvited him to the wedding knowing that Todd would likely do it at the wedding As per his MO.
Todd cries to their parents and they say that Chris is in the wrong because Todd never said he was going to do that. So Chris relented and said Todd could come, as a guest, no longer a groomsmen and that if Todd did propose to his GF during the wedding - he would regret it.
Fast forward again now to the wedding day. Sure enough Todd decided to propose to his GF, during the Father/Daughter Dance! Chris, his now wife and his wife’s family are all pissed but Chris’s family, parents included where overjoyed and paying attention to Todd and his GF.
What Todd didn’t know was that Chris and his BF had a plan. Enter Michelle. A friend of the BF. She storms in, yells at Todd claiming to be his GF and that she is pregnant. Todd is denying he even knows this woman, because he doesn’t, but Chris got a hold of Todd‘s phone and added Michelle as a contact, so when Michelle said she would prove it by calling him, his phone rang and ”Micheal” came up on the phone.
Todd’s actual GF threw the ring back and left the wedding. Todd figured it out right away when he saw the grin on Chris’s face.
Chris goes on his honeymoon and doesn’t reply to any texts or calls from Todd, their parents or anyone from his family side.
When he comes back home, he is being called all sorts of things and Todd and their parents tell Chris that he has to clear Todd’s name. That Todd’s GF has kicked him out and won‘t let him see his kid. Todd has yet to even apologize for doing the proposal at the Chris’s wedding
So is Chris the asshole here or is Todd? Todd was warned after all. But did Chris take it too far? Should Chris clear Todd’s name? Or wait until Todd apologizes first? What do you think of this one?
