The vast majority of English supporters are smart enough to know that outside of Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney and Ferdinand who was injured, their national team was made up of above average players at best.

the ban was complete nonsense but thats the French national football program for ya, where a coach can keep his job after embarrasing results keep accumulating. Anelka has always been a million dollar talent with a 2 cent brain, has played great wherever he has been but eventually wore out his welcome, ask Liverpool, Fenerbahce, Bolton and PSG fans. But suprisingly his time at Chelsea has been quiet.
