The one that Nadia sang was actually by Melissa Etheridge (from Yes I Am; loved that CD). Don't know if any one covered it.

Paula's comments are as useless as a tit on a bull.

Carrie is looking better every week, or perhaps I am just glomming onto her because the hot girl quotient has been declining lately.
I agrred with absoloutely everything you said except this ........which implies you thought that JAP 16 year old from Vegas that got tossed last week was hot  . Think Fran Dresher's mutant spawn .

No, not really. I was using the word "lately" very liberally. I was referring more to Amanda and Lindsay, although I admit, I'd still rather look at Mikala than Scott or Anthony.

I'm kind of sick of Scott and his evangelical ways. Whawhawha, "my daddy doesnt believe in me", whawhawha " I'm here to prove anything is possible". beat it tubby

I can take being a loser, but I won't take immitation melodrama!

Tonite's vote was bogus....is everyone watching this program tone deaf?

Jessica Sierra did not deserve to go tonite.

Nadia did not deserve to be in the bottom three....

How Scott and Anthony missed being in the bottom three is beyond me...Anwar deserved to be there tho...maybe Scott got the "Christian right" vote?

Did Simon's remark about Jessica not being "likeable" contribute to her downfall...judging from the look on his face, I think he might be feeling a bit guilty about a remark that had really nothing to do with her singing...

My prediction....look for her to put out a pop/country album in the next two years...she's got a big voice, great phrasing, and if she works on her image, and gets the right radio friendly material....JAMAICALUVR OUT!!!

Like JL, I am mystified by tonight's results show. There is no way Jessica deserved to go, and there is no way Nadia deserved to be in the bottom three. Anwar, seems to be losing steam rapidly, and arguably, deserved to be there. But I don't understand why all the chicks are going, and we still have losers like Scott, Anthony, and Constantine around. I just don't get it.

I don't think we can really expect the American public to vote everyone off in order according to talent levels. They have made some tragic mistakes in the past ie, Justin Guarini and Jessica DeGarmo going farther than Latoya. I liked at the end when Seacrest asked the judges how they think the fans should be voting. Based on individual performances or the whole body of work. That's a damn good question I don't think they knew how to answer

I think most people vote based on who they like, period. I think who they like gets established by a performers' body of work in the early going. I think a strong performance during a given week can pick up fringe voters, but a performer's core voters continue to vote for someone, even if they have a weak week.

Back to Jessica and Simon's likeability comment... Simon is no dummy... he knows when a performer has commercial potential or not. He is also the only judge who is not afraid to broach the area of physical attractiveness as it pertains to one's appeal. I think it is pretty obvious America ideally wants its American Idol to be attractive, particularly if it is a woman. The standard is different for men, and therefore Ruben, despite being overweight, was able to win because he had likeability. Back to Jessica, I would agree she was not as likeable as Carrie, who just seems to be a sweet ol' country girl. She was a little heavy, and therefore didn't have male voters swooning over her. And she came off a little slutty too, which may have alienated her from female voters. That's the best logic I could piece together anyway.

Perhaps the bottom 3 were victims of the "I don't need to vote for him/her because he/she is good and will get enough votes anyways, I'm going to vote for the pathetic one to make sure they get further" syndrome.

Wasn't Fantasia in the bottom 3 once last year?

Great point! Never gave validity to Simon's likeability statement, as I really liked her and others here stated their appreciation for her as well, therefore just assumed. Would she be on my top five vote list if I was to call and vote? Probably, but would I vote no more than 2 or 3 times anyway.

Does anyone think that Internet geeks are still swaying votes with there auto dialers?

A day later, I am still bewildered by Jessica's ouster from AI. I was a Jessica fan from the preliminaries, and consistently voted for her. Would internet geeks vote for Constantine and Scott? That's doesn't seem right to me.

I don't know. I would think internet geeks would want to vote for the cute girls, but what do I know? Maybe Federov has geek appeal.

Scott has to go, I thought that way back in the beginning when he was working on the group songs. I swear if he doesn't go next week I am forever not watching AI again and I will join the group in calling it American Midol, not American Idol.

HH

Okay well maybe I keep watching but it will forever be know as AM, not AI.

Fatty's not going to get booted because he's a bitch, but because he sucks ass. He doesn't deserve to be on stage with the likes of most of them. "Whawhawha, my daddy doesnt believe in me", "whawhawha, I'm gonna hit my babies momma". I heard that he's making time with Nadia Turner, who I also hear has a baby.

Fuck off fatso!

Well tonights show was a complete waste of time other than expediting the ouster of Sergei Fedorov's half brother Hole-in-the-neck. Everyone else was boring and Constantine is an embarrassment.

Fuck Fatso!
