anyone been watching this season?
some pretty impressive talent especially last nights show.
should be an interesting results show tonight. tough to pick four out 7 or 8 great acts last night.
the harp guy and the sand art fellow are amazing.
i think howard stern also adds a unique energy and dynamic to the program.....

the harp dude

I agree with your choices, but also will include the mind reader and the dog act at the end, all incredible.

The mind reader guy is impressive. I'm sure a lot of you will disagree with me but the show loses all it's credibility when one of the final 48 acts is a guy who gets kicked in the nuts.

Is it funny, yes, should it be in the live shows...no way.

I have also enjoyed this season and agree that Howard Stern has been a great addition. I agree 100% on the harp guy, the dogs, and the mind reader. The fourth will be chosen by the judges and it may come down to three acts the sandman, the athletic girls dance group or the single girl dancer. America might vote for the single dancer as she is the all american young lady. Who will judges pick, I am guessing the sandman or the dance group. The young girl dancer is my choice, but the judges will probably see it differently.

It will be interesting.

On another night some of the acts would have made it through.

No talent on the show will ever rival when Jackie Evancho showed up a few years ago and blew everyone away. I still remember sitting watching the TV and being completely amazed by her singing at such a young age. It was incredible the first time you saw it. Many outlets accusede AGT of faking her voice as many couldn't believe that voice came out of that little girl and the following week they had to prove it actually was her by getting Mandel to ask her to hit some notes in Cannon's microphone on the spot.
I still don't know how she finished second to some guy singer whose falling off the map completely.
Stupid Americans I guess.

The winner was Michael Grimm, very good soul voice. Don't know where he ended up either but he does have a few albums out and I'm sure he's playing in Vegas somewhere.

His winning song.

As we predicted the best four moved onto the finals last night:

Dittleman, the mind reader
Olate Dogs, incredible dog act
William Close, the guy who plays the studio as an instrument
Joe Castello, the sand artist

Should be an interesting and one of the best finals as there is such a variety of great acts.

The last quarterfinals is always the second-chance show where the judges each bring back 4 acts.
Look for 787 crew, David Smith, Horse, Lindsay Norton, Unity In Motion, Wordspit, etc. to fight it out again in the wildcard on Aug 21.
Aug 14 is the YouTube quaterfinal as AGT is off the air for the Olympics.
There will 24 total in the semis (4 reg. quarters + YouTube + Wildcard) - with 2 semi-final shows of 12 each going down to 5 each for the Top 10 final shows.

How the hell can Horse get this far????? How many times can you see a guy get hit, kicked, stomped, etc... in the nuts before it just becomes boring......acts like that really gives the show the image of a second rate talent show and the waters down the really talented people. I agree with Howard, letting those stupid acts go further into the competition prevents much more talented acts from getting through.

Yet Stern loves Horse.

There is a segment of American society that loves the type of act that Horse provides. All you have to do is look at the success of The Dudesons and especially Johnny KNoxville and Steve-O on the Jackass shows and movies.

I can't believe All That almost made it. I figured they would be near the bottom.

Really? I'll have to give him a ring and tell him how hypocritical he is. He can't keep harping on Mandel for letting stupid acts get in but in turn he likes a stupid act in Horse.

Actually I'll tweet him right now.

stern loves horse. heard him say he would be one of the few he would actually have on the radio show.
i can see why he wouldnt like ulysses though very different. he couldnt sing. at least you gotta a little laugh out of horse, although he shouldnt have made it as far as he did....

^^^ I can see Stern saying he wants Horse on his radio show because it's a bizarre, goofy show, perfect act for his listeners, but this is America's Got Talent, it suppose to be based on artistic talent...........I hardly think continually kicking some guy in the nuts is talent, stupid, dumb, goofy yes, talent no, IMO.

Besides after seeing a couple of his acts I don't believe he got hit every time, many times it appears they miss but act as if it did hit him.

i saw that too. a few times they hit him on the inside of the thigh, im sure that was intentional and planned....
i would surmise that if stern was pushed he would concede that horse should not go through on the basis of talent.

No it's not.

Evidence to support my statement?
"Prince Poppycock" made it into the top 5 a few years ago finishing behind Grimm, Fighting Gravity, and Evancho
