The apex predator of the Americas has returned to Arizona.

They used to roam freely across most of the US but they were hunted to extinction: the jaguar. The black panther is also a jaguar. Best way to control the out of control deer population. Nobody had heard of lyme disease before the wolves and big cats were killed off.

That's because they were expropriated from their traditional range inside the US long before Lyme Disease leaked from the bio lab on Plum Island. Regardless, still nice to see them coming back

Reminds me of the 1982 horror movie Cat People about people who turn into big black cats when they have sex. Bad for their partners. Nastassja Kinski smolders throughout the film.

The original Cat People came out in 1942. Nastassja was gorgeous back then - unlike her father.

This is why Jaguars should be welcomed in Florida. Just keep the pets locked up at night.
