Most of the ladies on this board and others are having a really bad time through this pandemic. Revenue has fallen drastically. I've heard down 90% in some cases. There is no long-term hope for us if this revenue loss continues. They have rent/mortgages to pay, groceries, transportation costs.

Whether you regulaly tip the ladies or not, please consider doing so now. Don't think of it as a tip like you'd give to a barber or cabbie or wait staff. Leave a little extra now and then to help sustain the business.

While it my not always the case, many of the ladies are paying income tax on their earnings.And it hey are, may also be paying HST on your behalf.

Have a heart and give them a hand. It'll make you feel good.

I don't mind tipping here and there, even a small gift on special occasions. But some of these gals have taken it to a new level. Some of there wishlist are full of crazy expensive items from jewelry to handbags that are in the thousands of dollars. I don't mind a few bucks here and there if the service is good and consistent. So for me I am ok with it, I may leave a extra 20 or 50 on occasion.

I pay my taxes. I don’t make huge amounts in this business and can claim high expenses with things like advertising etc, so claiming every appointment is fine with me personally. Although it may not be for everyone.

I’m just wondering how he knows who claims taxes and who doesn’t.

I tip at a restaurant because the servers generally make less than minimum wage and even then it is based on the level of service.

How do you make less than minimum wage working in a legitimate restaurant? It's called minimum wage for a reason. Unless I suppose you're referring to illegals? But still, they'd be the exception, not the rule...

Our min wage laws are set up that way. Servers earn a dollar less because the government assumes they will make that extra dollar per hour, in tips.

It is the government who pushes tipping culture.

I've tipped in the past. I don't see the point unless its a consistent regular.

And if they charge 400+, as far as I'm concerned I've already tipped.
