Helllo,
Well, as I was going with the flow of traffic ( 2 cars ahead of me) on the slow lane, coming of a bend on the road we all encountered the dreaded radar trap.
The cop who was standing on the sidewalk jumped onto the street and signalled me to turn over to the side of the street.
Now, my speeding is not that bad - going 63 km on a 40 km zone.
The cop (being the bacon) that he is handed me a ticket without as much as a discount.
Now, I'm wondering if the cop has any validity that the radar did catch me and not the 2 cars ahead of me.
Also, the cop didn't show me the speed on the radar.
What's to say that he won't make up any number up? Good thing I was quiet. I can imagine being porked over if I had mouthed off to him!
Now, I don't have time to fret over this but I know I shouldn't choose Option 1 and just pay the fine.
Option 2 is to plead guilty with an explanation. Will doing this give the justice of the peace some room to knock the speed down thus saving me 3 demerit points?
Or should I file for Option 3 and go for the trial. I know I'm guilty but I don't want to screw myself up? On the actual trial date, could I plea bargain with the crown attorney so that I don't have to look at the ugly pighead.
I'll appreciate everybody's feedback.
Thanks
