Its a shame people visiting or immigrating from other countries dont respect the rules, customs or society norms when visiting.

I think people, in general, are happy that a country is taking a stand if you are unwilling to respect their rules. If you respect the rules, you are allowe to travel there.

I am hopeful that the new PM, Sanae Takaichi, will do a good job in managing immigration and tourism policies which will benefit Japan.

I've been there and found Japan to be the most xenophobic country I have ever been to. This is hardly surprising.

You clearly have never seen Japan in person. You can eat off of the streets they're so clean, their culture is beautiful, they want to keep that way. They see what's going on in Canada, Europe and the U.S. they don't want it to get shit on.
Or maybe they're just being randomly racist for absolutely no reason at all, but my guess it's the former and not the latter.

Unlike Indians who seem to love to throw their trash anywhere and everywhere, Japanese will even bring their garbage home to dispose of it properly.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of it had to do with Hiroshima. Imagine your country got annihilated, I doubt you'd like anyone after that. They're friendly and respectful to foreigners, but keep a keen eye on them as well.

Japan is pretty awesome, I certainly felt like all eyes were on me, but I understood why and accepted it since the girl I was seeing during that time was a Canadian Japanese and had told me about it and not to get upset or freak out over it.
Great trip, beautiful country and culture. I can honestly see why they don't want Indians there, the fear is real and sincere.
